Cool gameplay. But I feel controls a bit weird, and sometimes not responsive. Maybe with a real Gameboy is easy, but with a keyboard is really hard.

But, very interesting idea.

Nice gameplay, you get more confident as you learn controls, hard last section though :)

Great game and really unique gameplay! I wasnt expecting that, took me some time to learn the controls haha

very interesting gameplay and good music, at first is a bit confusing but once you get the hang of the controls it becomes very fun :>

and wow, that last section gets real fast

I'm glad you enjoyed it! and yeah clearly communicating the control scheme was definitely something I struggled with.

Thanks for playing!

Such a tough game. Can't believe you can actually beat the last section, I can't even get my ship to the right place in time!

It's a nice efficient use of the buttons you have available (I just wish I wouldn't forget to let go of A when I want to start moving again ^^ ).

I found the ramping speed really well done, and I managed to do better each time I played. It's really a game where you can feel the benefit of getting used to the controls, and recognising the shapes (especially those opposing Y-shapes!) and I like the way that makes you feel accomplished for getting further.

LOL to be honest the times I made it through I crashed more often than not on the last section. If you do well in the previous sections though you'll have enough hull to make it through.

That's exactly the feeling I was going for! Most of the game boy games I played had that style of progression so that's exactly what I was shooting for!

Thanks so much for playing!

This game is challenging AF, but it feels fair and I feel like I want to try again and do better!

Graphics are clean, they do the job. My main gripe is that the X-shape is not symmetrical!? Why do you do me dirty like this. I keep dying :(

Sound design is excellent, and the music speeding up as you progress really stresses me out in a good way.

Overall, a Great Gameboy Game!

LOL! Thanks a bunch.

I considered making the X symmetrical but where's the fun in that? :D I can confirm it's beatable though, I'm not terribly good at arcade style games like this and I've taken it to the end a bunch of times in testing now!

Agreed on the sound, I just did the logic driving it and suggested the tempo. Everything else, including the SFX, is all Themuckamuck's fantastic work. They also provided an easter egg sprite, let me know if you spot it!
