The game feels a little short (only about 3 or 4 ennemy waves) and there's no way to see how long you're playing (a score system would have been great). Maybe also making sure the ship moves with the same increments of space, otherwise the shooting can get tricky sometimes.
Besides that, I do feel like you tried your best on the game, you didn't make any music sadly but you made some SFX, and if you didn't had any musician I can understand it. I also like how the player's bullets are slightly different from the ennemies ones.
It was a short yet fun experience, good work!

A classic shoot'em up flying the space.

Nice, very Space Invaders-y. The artwork has a nice charm to it. Add some more mechanics and gameplay and you could make a cool blend of standard shmup and Space Invaders.
The particle effect explosions are really satisfying in this. It definitely feels a bit slow and unforgiving, but I managed to complete it. Simple but effective gameplay, and I liked the boss at the end. Nice work!
That's a very fun game! Very hard to complete and I would suggest giving more lives to the player but there is some retro vibe that this hardcore mode gives. I really liked the simple but retro visuals. They nicely capture that GameBoy "soul". Can't say much about music but the sound effects are cool and satisfying. I also really like the mechanic with retrieving your bullets by hitting enemies. I think it could be worth to try experiment with it some more. Maybe two max bullets per hit for more intense action? It definitely has potential. Good job!
I DEAD!
Dig the classic arcade game style. Could stand to speed things up. Maybe you're limiting to one player bullet on the screen?
Nice entry! The rate of fire seems strange... you can shoot fast if you hit enemies close up, but you have to wait until the bullet gets off screen if you miss.
Good start on a space shooter!
I appreciate the variety of enemy types and enemy configurations.
In terms of the visual design, it would be good to have higher contrast--make the darkest color even darker.
It would also be nice to have some exciting music; you want to get the blood pumping in an action game like this.
Lastly, since we are looking at one-hit kills here, it would be good to have 3 lives--killing the player outright is a little harsh.
The little spaceship sprites reminded me of Dr. Mario viruses, and felt very classic Gameboy
Nice little shoot’em up! I also liked the palette. I noticed some small details like sub-pixel positions, rounded borders around the text or spinning particles, so the game is not really 160x144 :( I think it would have helped giving the game a crisp look like the gameboy!
Competent. The character art has a simple charm to it. The interval between shots seemed a little long, and the full restart on one hit was a bit punishing. The heavily desaturated palette is an interesting touch, but it's a bit muddy.
Congratulations on the submission!
