Nice story! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

Like the in between story bits, they really help build a world and make you care for the characters, even those you are fighting against. The fights themselves work as a simple Punch Out type reaction game, but the lack of feedback during the fights is confusing.

Great game! Had fun being a gladiator. :)

I like the combat system, reminds me of SM's Pirates! It could be a lot clearer though. Decent graphics and audio too. Good game!

Good backstory and concept. The fighting was pretty good too. If there were some kind of meters for health or stamina (or whatever the factors are), that would make it even better.

Oh, and I appreciate being able to upscale from actual GB resolution.

Great job!

Nice game! It was a little weird with the collisions bc I didn't realize I was hitting the guys at first. I like that it had a story and dialogue.

Cool concept, a fighting game where you are standing still. I could see this turned into something with a more direct gameplay approach, for instance a mobile game. I like the art style and the atmosphere. The fighting is cool but it could be more polished. (I felt like I did not reach the opponent with my punches). Overall good work, I'm glad I played it.

Great job in storytelling and creating atmosphere!
