Lovely graphics, found it a bit hard to control. I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)
solid aesthetic and I liked the colour pallet.
jump mechanics have potential but at the moment it's a little hard to control
Had a lot of fun with what little is there. Enjoyed the concept and hope you decide to expand on it more after the jam!
This game has great, great art (kudos on the palette!), and the concept behind it (using punch for everything, like jumping and getting a second push) is really cool. This version is a little glitchy, and short, but it is a good prototype. Congratulations on your entry! :)
Loved the graphics and the idea is nice, but I believe the jump should be easier and faster. At the first jump with spikes on the floor, there are some background tiles that seemed "walkable" because colors contrasted from the BG. The instant camera change to higher platforms got me a bit confused. Audio is mostly lacking too. But for a prototype, it looks very good overall!
Very nice art style and game concept. But the game was too short ;/
Art is looking so good, liked the clumsyness/cuteness of the chatacter as well. Also stuck at the second room. I think punching sides individually is cool (which i couldn't use in a meaningfull way cause i was stuck before finding anything to punch) but jumping felt needlessly hard. I got the idea of using your punches to jump but the need to press down to make the jump seems irrelevant, cause then you should also be punching to relevant sides using direction buttons..
interesting game.
Can't get past the second room. The art is great.
That looks cool for a prototype. Unusual controls, which doesn't have to be a bad thing. However, I think you can't get past the second room.
