The Mac app is damaged :(
It isn't, but you need permissions to run third party apps. Take a look at this: https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/gatekeeper-macos-sierra/
As I said, you need third-party apps permissions. Please, take a look at the link I gave you. Or this one, as it is updated (but it is the same thing): https://www.geekrar.com/how-to-allow-third-party-apps-install-on-macos-catalina/
I use a Mac too, and that's a common thing about downloaded games.
I've done what the guide says, it still won't open because its "damaged"
Are you opening it from the Downloads folder? If that's the case, try to move the game somewhere else.
I opened it from my desktop
The art looked great. There were a few parts that sort of felt like a waste of time instead of an actual challenge like the area with the two shooting enemies on the third area. I ended up making it to that but didn't really feel like trying to get all the way back again. Felt a lot like a very polished gameboy game.
So FUN ! looks, sounds & plays great, especially for a quick jam game. The level & enemy designs were really on point too! All in all, great job guys, keep it up! :D
Game no open me! D: but your game is being fun
Can you try installing DirectX through this link?

Incredible work! Amazing how you did this level of game design in just one week! You deserve to be recognized! Send my congratulations to x_rxi for the amazing music and SFX!
Thanks! Yes, he did an amazing work with the music :) Glad you like the result :D
I loved playing it, not sure if it's just me or it's just my personal preference but I found the keyboard fire and jump buttons were flipped around to what they should be. I got to the second boss which gave me some difficulty due to this and resulted in Game Over, I saved it to my Desktop and I'll give it another whirl once I have time.
Mmm, keys are alright for me, but I guess it depends on the person. Thanks for playing, and glad you like it! :)
Great little game. Graphics are really well done, and the music bops along nicely. If in between levels you could choose a power up to increase your weapon damage, or give a shield, etc, it would add so much to the motivation to continue playing. As it stands I got to the third level and died, and didn't really want to play all the way back to that spot. A continue as well as a retry would be nice, and I know it stops people playing it the whole way through, but considering it's a jam game people usually don't have too long to play them.
Really polished good game though, congrats on getting it done in the time, with all those trimmings.
Thank you for playing and commenting! :)
About the levels: yes, I wanted to add some kind of checkpoints but I didn't have enough time, so I ended making shorter levels, so it wouldn't be so frustrating to start over. But you're completely right, levels are still a bit frustrating if you have to start over.
SO GOOD! I loved it. great job
Thanks! you weren't that rude, I must say, rudeboy, hah :D
Good stuff! Love the art and the music! Fun game too, only thing I didn't like was how long the elevator fight drags out for. I died on the elevator boss and had to do it all again, bad times. Good game overall tho!
Yup, didn't have enough time to fix timing on some things, like the elevator. Thanks! Glad you like the game :)
This is really good, impressive for only 4 days. Wish it had controller support thought :D
Thanks! I want to add controller support on a post-jam version :)
Awesome!
Loved the level design and the usage of the palette!
Thanks! Glad you like the level design, it was quite difficult to me to do it.
