pretty cool but good enough for a proof-of-concept 👍

Even though it's very short, It's still good for a proof-of-concept! I like the pan down to the bottom of the mountain and the text fading! Improvements to it besides more content could include changing the look of the falling platforms to look more like the mountain (because for a second I thought they were collectables), WASD controls, a ledge grabbing animation, more SFX, and an even quicker death animation.

Thanks for the quality feedback. :-)

did you mean to put your comment twice

Submitted

I doubt it cuz there's a glitch on itch that makes you post a single comment twice, and it's possible for it to happen without realizing it did

Submitted(+1)

Once I did my vote doing the stars and then I commented without saving and it got sent twice then I realized and deleted it!

The same thing has happened to me before too!

No bugs in this proof of concept. Very cute art style!

Even as a proof of concept I didn't encounter bugs, which tells me alot about the quality you want to achiev ^^
So even tho the game is short, its still nicely made :D
Well done!

Thank you! Most of my time was spent getting the mechanics down and working out quirky bugs. I like to work out as many bugs as possible before building too much. Thanks for the great feedback and recognition of effort! :-)

I played a lot of participating games in this competition, and this is the only platform jumping game that does platform recovery! It’s great and gives players a chance to keep trying.

The problem is too short, and I look forward to future expansion!

This game was initially awkward to play but once I go a feel for your design it felt good and skilled to progress. I thought it was pretty good proof of concept and although short you made a full experience and I am sure you can build on it.

Developer

Thank you!

You can do better than this. I believe in you. My honest rating.

Developer

Thanks for believing in me. :-)

Game is too short. Some advice if you going to make a short platformer make at least 3 different levels. 3 levels could have been done in the time you had. Sorry not much else to say.

Developer

Apologies for the short submission. I had 5 total hours that I was able to commit to this project in the timeframe allowed. There’s no logic in building multiple unplayable buggy levels if level 1 is too unstable for players to complete. My choices were to not submit or submit a short PoC level with a solid foundation. Thanks for playing and the feedback. :-)

BTW, did you like how I fit the theme into my reply? That counts as level 2. LOL. Take care.

While the game was short, I like its concept (which similar to the game I've made).

Developer

Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Sorry, it glitched and sent it 4 or 5 times!

Developer

Not a worry.

Submitted(+1)

It was a good game, but the physics was a little janky, and the art packs didn't mash well. (This is constructive criticism, not being mean) :)
