The amount of content and features in this game is impressive. The puzzles are well design and very well thought out. It was also incredibly well polished and even had achievements! This is a really good example of how you can take a simple idea, and just make tiny twists on it, and get a lot of content. Combine that with the level of polish you did and you have a very complete and fun game.
Wow, I think that's the most complete, polished solo monthly game jam I've played! Well done, really excellent! I think you should seriously think about making this mobile compatible - I think it'd be a great fit as a puzzle game.
First of all, you did a lot with polish from sound effects, eyes moving around, a nice menu, story, slowing down when coming close to another color, etc. And achievements! Well done!
The game was fun! Good puzzle elements, as well as some skill involved to sling the CoBa's and plan it out.
The little CoBa's were charming and the sound effects worked well.
Level design & tutorials were really good. Some challenging levels but some appropriate tutorials in the beginning.
I think the one thing the one bit of critical feedback I'd have is the narrative was a bit confusing? I wasn't quite sure what was going on haha (admittedly, I haven't finished the game). Didn't detract though since the gameplay is fun in its own right.
Two requests: LMB to continue through dialogue, and level selection so I can pick up where I left off!
Hello MurphysDad and Thank You for your Feedback.
Making it mobile would be a totally new Experience but surely an interesting one.
I guess the (somewhat bad and) confusing narrative comes back to my mediocre english, hehe. Additionally, the story is not fully wrote down so.. yea. My bad :-) but i wanted more than a plain tutorial so the 'supervisor' role came in handy.
Good point for the LMB to continue.. should be easy to implement. And for the level selection,
That should be accessible through the title screen (press esc in any level) :-)
cool puzzle game it felt like the game took a while to ramp up it was around like 12 or so not necessarily a bad thing just a thing I noticed. I like the art, the little ball guys were cute. the story stuff with the text boxes were a bit confusing im guessing there was more in the secret levels which i like that thats cool. i just didnt figure out how to get to them. i also noticed that later in the levels you had some more tutorial/ simple levels and was initially thinking that was bad, but actually having variation in difficulty is good to not burn out the player so great job there. a little unfortunate that when you refresh or go back to the page you loose progress i know there is a way to keep that info through like player preferences(or something) but idk how to do that sorry. I also didn't get the random slow downs of time but im guessing that was the hidden narrative elements i didnt get too. Overall fantastic job :D
Thank You flamewolf14. I really appreciate your Feedback.
I was initially thinking to leave the narrative and just throw in some simple tutorial. But then i had some time left so i wanted to put in some more mystic ;-)
So i reorganized the levels and added the little story. I guess my lacking english just did not told it well.
For the progress... yes that is true. That is something i did not think about. Good point, thank you :-)
If you wish to play/continue. You may press T on the title Screen in order to unlock all levels ;-)
Great puzzle game, clearly a lot of thought put into the design of the mechanics and levels. I liked the sound & music. Only one annoyance - having to page through the prompts again when restarting a level! Nice use of the animated background to liven up the screen a little, and the animation transitions and the triangular trails were really smooth.
First of all thank you nyctus1 for your feedback. Good to hear that you liked the game.
For the dialogs, you could have pressed esc. I know it is nowhere told (only enter to continue) so i let you know this way :-)
