Thanks for the play and the feedback, I had fun watching the stream replay just now!

I can see a few people had trouble with the mouse sensitivity so that's something I have to look into. Watching the stream made me remember that people don't always play the game as I imagined they would - because of the mouse sensitivity issue you were playing very "conservatively" because it was so difficult to not miss the shots. (When testing, I didn't have that issue so was hitting extreme curve balls all the time and balanced the difficulty on that basis). So seeing that is a great reminder/lesson for me - thanks.

I was going for the over-the-top aesthetic (to make up for my soporific trading game last month) but the voice effect was not mine :)  freesound.org.

Hey nice game guys, and it's nice to see a team effort. Coordinating together is more complex than just doing something solo so it's nice to see.

The atmosphere was great from the intro screen on. Tutorial was much appreciated. The graphical style was cool as well, was it 3d displaying as isometric?

Unfortunately I had trouble with the performance, it was pretty choppy for me - probably WebGL issues (I was using Chrome if it makes a difference). Perhaps because of this, the jump height was inconsistent for me - sometimes the jumps were high and sometimes they were quite short. This made it really hard for me to time the shots in the air, and it took me so many tries to get past a few points that those points were just frustrating. However I get that this is probably a browser or WebGL issue, so very hard for you to control or foresee.

The puzzle mechanics and levels were fun and well-designed as well.

Good job!

Hey well done on getting this up. I had a little trouble understanding how to play but after I read your instructions more carefully I was all good. The music gave it a cool retro feel, and there was a good variety of enemies. I only managed to get to the third level so I didn't see the shop mechanics. However the enemy respawn mechanic was a good way to give the player another chance to get their health up before proceeding.

Good job!

Thanks for the play and the helpful feedback. Seems like everybody found the same thing with the controls so I'll have to be more careful with those in the future.

Thanks for the play and the useful feedback!

I agree I should have slowed down the round start, when the ball was moving faster.

Thanks for the play and the helpful feedback!

You're right, the AI was tough to balance. Whenever I made a slight gameplay change, it made the AI either too easy or impossible to beat, so I had to rebalance often. The way I implemented it was that the AI picked a target spot to defend, but only had a limited reaction speed, like humans, and sometimes was inaccurate. Then I increased the difficulty by reducing the size of the errors, and increasing the reaction time.

Thanks for the comments! You're right that some features didn't make it in - hence hiring people didn't do anything in this version. (They still take a share of the profits when retiring!)

Hey thanks for the feedback! Yes good point about the navigation. Perhaps I should have added direct movement controls.

Thanks for the feedback! Adding menu sound effects is a good suggestion - the menus are a bit bland!

Yes each city is the same for now - would be nice to add a bit of character to each one but I didn't have time for more.

Hey I know you ran out of time but I can see the skeleton of something good here. I didn't like the way the water instantly ended the game - that made me laugh but out of confusion. I do like some of the visuals - like the 3d cel-shaded look of the control panels.

Hey this was a cool fun shooter. Art and sound were good. Gameplay was fine, fun at first but it's a bit easy to "kite" the enemies and they always bunch up when chasing you so it gets easy/boring. Maybe altering their movement patterns or giving them more range would mix it up a bit. But I had fun!

Couple of polish points - when my health bar hit zero I didn't die straight away. I played the tutorial first and desperately wanted to speed up the text from the trainer, but you can't - it just skips.

Great puzzle game, clearly a lot of thought put into the design of the mechanics and levels. I liked the sound & music. Only one annoyance - having to page through the prompts again when restarting a level! Nice use of the animated background to liven up the screen a little, and the animation transitions and the triangular trails were really smooth.

Cool, I enjoyed playing. Great fun little game. Not too much in the way of constructive comments - design is good, sound effects worked well. I guess the background/walls are a bit ugly although the characters make up for those.

Thanks for playing my game and leaving any feedback! Please see the game page for a few other notes.

Note on the jam theme: the setting is from a history book I read recently, the main mechanic is supply & demand economics - not something I've seen mixed in a game before.

Note on the jam modifier: I added colliders and gravity just to tick this one off.
