Really cool how you dedicated to one setting theme style and technique! I'm a bit jealous of how cool and complete your collection of entries is. This is also something that adds more limitations to your design process which has pros and cons. I will definitely do the same thing next year I will try to make one overarching story in my entries, you definitely inspired me. 😁

You should publish this for the Gameboy 😅

Thank you and thanks for playing! I had an itch to do something in the GameBoy style, and GDKO gave me the means to scratch it. Good luck next year, it did add a bit of an extra challenge, but I'm very happy with what I made.

I was looking into one of those GameBoy engines, I might try it. I still have my OG GameBoy, I might even get a kit so I can the game on it.

Can't wait to see what you make next year 🤩

I've become a huge Crunkle fan over all of these months. They've stood out for me in every round with their consistency and real sense of homely, weird dread. I'm a sucker for gameboy style games and your art style is AMAZING.

This one is another great entry and uses the theme in so many different ways.

GDKO has been a super rewarding experience, and it's been so awesome to get to see your games through all of the rounds. You've got my vote for winning it! Hope to stay in touch. See ya around the Discord. :D

Thanks and thanks for playing!

The theme seemed to fit the Crunkle character pretty well with everything I had done. Lucky that I had enough art do the gambling mini games.

GDKO is great, this is my third year. I learn a lot and get better and get to see what other people do and get inspired. We should stay in touch, I'll be around the Discord, I'm very interested in seeing what you're going to make next.

I feel like this game is a very natural progression of the Crunkle series, like, of course Crunkle makes us gamble for our lives, it just fits so well :P The theme is implemented perfectly and I like the variety of the gambling minigames. Fun game!

It's impressive that you managed to stick to one style and plotline throughout all 6 rounds while the tasks were so different from each other. I really enjoyed experiencing the Crunkle lore expanding with each game. The gameboy style added a certain retro vibe to the gameplay and made the games stand out. Well done, Dev Pirates!

It does feel like something Crunkle would do. I'm glad you liked the game and thanks for playing!

I was thinking of doing something in the GameBoy style, I had done a few images for Skeleween on Twitter in a GameBoy style. So the first round when I was brain storming I couldn't get it out of my head.  Then every round it got more and more stuck. It has been fun and I learned and improved a lot.
