Hey this was fun! How did you make the floating ghost character float along the terrain so smoothly? I enjoyed the animations and modeling work a lot. I think that the animations could be faster.  I also encountered a bug where an imp hit me with his club and I went flying outside of the island. Great submission.

Hey, thanks for playing! The smooth movement is from some artificial dampening being applied. I didn't get much time to smooth it out however as it's part of the reason the characters get flung out of the map.

Saber did an amazing job on the creature models and animations, made it easy for me to blend the animations together. There are a few issues caused by the blending but we plan to fix them in the future.

but also:
Really nice work for a jam game.  I like the overall feel when its working.  Showcasing a lot of potential for some kind of MMO style perhaps.  That collision detection tho...  def need to look into that.  Otherwise overall pretty good and fairly fun.  Would be interested to see how this progresses.

Thank you very much for the video review, it helps us a lot. You brought a lot of bugs to my attention that I wasn't aware of. I didn't expect you to go flying over the water barrier :D I actually know why that is happening and will be addressed soon.

I'm sorry for the buggy combat, I could really feel your frustration at the end there. Unfortunately, it was one part of the game I couldn't come back to as a lot of other things needed my attention. The combat and physics are definitely the first things I plan on updating once this voting period ends.

I'm also thinking about changing how the possession system works. We didn't want to make it too easy to possess the stronger creatures, but at the same time, it can be pretty difficult fighting a golem as an imp. We will see how the combat system progresses before we make any decisions on that. Also, being able to possess the low health golem as a ghost is actually a bug too.

Again, thanks for the review and keep a lookout for updates in the coming weeks.

It was both my pleasure and somewhat a pain, but overall a treat.  Maybe if u could possess multiple imps?  Like create a limit for possession power and then set a unit cost per possess...

I'm a fan of open world games and this one has a potential. It is all fun and games until my character flung out of the world hahahaha. Maybe you still need to tweak some physics on it but it is still fun. I love the variation of the enemies/characters and their special abilities. One downside for open world games is the file size. I can see that the area is composed of low poly materials. Maybe you can still further reduce the polygon count to reduce the size. All in all, the game is so great. Had fun with it.

Thanks for trying our game! We plan on updating the combat and physics really soon after this jam is over. I didn't have much time to address the file size issue, most of it is coming from the terrain system and will definitely be addressed in the future.
