The game is fun, but it needs to improve the collisions a little bit, I died a few times without even getting close enough to the enemies. Coins also don't work the first time you play.

It's just polishing matters, other than that it's a lot of fun, I'd like to see more updates, good job.

Could you rate my games too? they are: Temple of Pythagoras and Geo-do. :)

It seems to me that the topic of jam is poorly covered. Potion purchase price is very high. While I was saving 100 coins for a potion, I got bored. After purchasing the blue potion, I was unable to collect coins and did not notice changes in the gameplay. Sorry, I lost interest in starting over and collecting 150 coins. But I think you did a good job, the game needs some work.

Developer

oh. sorry if i didnt mention, the blue potion is to change into a circle while the orange one is to change into a square, the purple one is to change into a diamond. turning into different shapes will give you different items to buy from the trader. And higer potion price gives more gameplay which is the basic property of all games!. Anyways thanks for the feedback will keep those in mind for the next game jam. :)

Hmm, then it's strange that it doesn't work for me.

Like it but needs a lot of polishing !!

Developer

I'm sure I can make it better. I only had a maximum of 2 hours a day.  I couldn't even add everything I had in mind. So, ya surely i can polish it to make it better. thanks for the comment though!.

The choice to mix platforming with rpg elements is pretty cool. But there are a few things that need attention. A scrolling or even static background would help the colors pop more. The coins need to get destroyed after the player interacts with them. The enemies can be killed at the edge of the screen right now and as such take away from the challenge. Maybe use a projectile or some other kind of attack that relies on either proximity or a direct line of sight?

As for the screen size, it fit mine perfectly, but the clouds need to generate outside the camera boundaries. Otherwise they're popping in and out of existence.

All the best.

Ok, ya so as much as i have tested the coins do get destroyed after the player collects them and I can work more on this project i would have put in maximum of 12 hours on this game cause i had to manage my school and everything. Though i will keep these points in mind for my next games. Thanks a Lot!

Being able to balance school and game dev is commendable in itself! Congrats!

As for the coins and stuff, maybe different people are getting different results due to varying specs and all? Regardless, we wish you all the best, and hope you keep devving ;).

Developer (1 edit)

Oh. what ur computer res?

i've set it to 1920 by 1080

Submitted

hmm, mine is 1920 x 1080...

Developer

Ok. I understand, i have intentionally made it bigger. so yeah

Submitted (1 edit)

well mine is 1440 x 900 so screw me i guess XD

Developer

Nah. I've made it so that it scales with the screen size and i have made it bigger on purpose to of spawning in platforms without the player really seeing it

i haven't actually played it yet so since you said that i will
