Is there a limit to the numer of bullets? I can't shoot after a while. If so maybe add a melee attack to use when running out of bullets please. Also this game made me realized how dumb I am since I keep getting the incorrect answers =))) Great game though!

Developer

Oh sorry I completely forgot to mention this anywhere but after 18 shots you have to reload with "R".

Really cool concept! I like how the buffs and debuffs are more than just stat changes, getting the second gun for the first time was a very cool moment I wasn't expecting! One thing I would recommend is having the enemies shoot projectiles instead of being hitscan, as it can sometimes feel a bit unfair to take damage without warning, and having them shoot projectiles would give the player a chance to dodge. Nevertheless, good job!

Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree with you about the bullets. Originally they were projectiles but they had a bunch of bugs and it was 3 am in the morning so I just decided to switch it to hit scan. I will definitely switch it to projectile later.

Did not think that these two genres could ever mix, but you pulled definitely pulled it off! Did you make the music yourself? If so, great job for doing it yourself :)

Developer

Thank you! I did make the music myself.

A combination between FPS and trivia is a really good idea, I haven't seen anything like it!  I like the questions as well, not too difficult, and I like how a lot of them were common misconception questions.  Getting rewarded with an upgrade for each correct answer is implemented well.

Developer

Thank You!

The only things that are missing, are more  questions and a timer, counting your progress. You killed it. The music is a downside, but you've made it yourself and accounting for that i say it's not bad at all. Reloading animation is really nice, the gun adding mechanic surprised me, the idea was brilliant, player movement was responsive, graphics could be better, but we all had 72 hours, so choosing simple shapes, bright colors and bloom is a good choice. Level design is nice. Gameplay wasn't boring, was really balanced and fun. 8.78/10

Developer

Thank you so much! I kinda agree with you about the music but it was my first time ever trying to make music so I don't think it was that bad.

I really liked your game because it's a mixture of two different kinds of games. This makes me have to both shoot enemies and think about whether or not the statement is true or false.

I also liked the music. It really kept me engaged.

One thing I would like to change, though, is that sometimes it seems like the enemies can sneak up behind you or can spawn next to you, which makes it very hard to play around. I think enemies should only spawn in areas I can see.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, that's a good idea!

A good mashup of trivia and FPS. Answering questions was easy, but enemy collision was a bit wonky: sometimes they get stuck in the floor and can sometimes instantly defeat the player. Overall it was fun and was at its best when I knew some questions but not all so I would get a good balance of bonuses and penalties.

Thanks for the feedback! The enemy's were definitely janky and I have some ideas to fix them after the jam.

well game idea, level design wasnt bad. I just didnt found the question in my first run, and it feels like it could need a bit more fov as well as decreased enemy spawns like even tho you get 25% health boost you were dead by one collision.

And do not forget to set Time.timeScale = 1f; each time you load the scene again :P

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The enemies were very definitely buggy but there was only couple of hours left so I decided to just submit it. I did set the time scale right but I think I may have accidentally did it in on awake not start lol.
