This was a nice little experience. Knowing that I would have one enemy and one bullet made it feel quite tense, as did the ambience, and the creepy nature of the enemy.
The enemy really needed to make sound though. It could add a whole extra dimension to the game trying to both keep away from the enemy and try to find the way out, or to deliberately hunt the enemy down so they are dealt with, ready to then search for the escape. I'd also make the ambience a little louder, as your own footsteps are super dominant.
Some variation in the environment might help with navigation too, although I don't know if you want to make that any easier.
What is in the game works really well, and you did well to put it all together on your own. Good stuff!
Thanks for sharing.
I found that to be very tense. Even after I had killed the creeper. Nice atmosphere. It's a bit rough round the edges but I had a good time of it.
Great interpretation of the theme. Was immediately on edge upon entering the game, checking corners before proceeding and jumped when I encountered the enemy. Managed to compose myself quick enough to pop him. Would have liked to see him slump on the wall, instead he fell through. Also, would be nice to have some audio for when the enemy is near maybe?
Overall, very enjoyable.
Nice idea, but I had a few problems: first of all the mouse was moving too fast, when I pressed CTRL to crouch I lost my unique bullet, with Esc it shows the mouse but without a menu.
These are things you can fix this week without too many problems I think.
A thing a little more tricky to fix are the shadows, maybe instead of using the directional light trying to use more light points?
Apart this, the enemy was really creepy and I panicked when I saw him and I was without bullets, it was really fun to play
I'm a unique fan of labyrinths with a single enemy in them!
Would have been cool if there had been other interesting things to find in the labyrinth though! Once I killed the enemy I just stuck to the right wall until I made it out.
The game is really slow and doesn't introduce the player to the mechanics or the objective. The labyrinths are not great for level design. In the end, is a beginning, polish will surely help :)
