I found this game to be really soothing and pleasant to play. It gave me a sort of Stardew or Animal Crossing feel, with the focus on just going around in this charming, peaceful environment, and getting to know your neighbors and getting to know everyone and what's going on in their lives. The music was nice and peaceful, the character designs and environment were really charming, and everything just felt really put together and well polished. The pacing was slow, but I think the slow nature of it fit the atmosphere really well: you're taking things one step at a time, and in a game jam with so many fast paced games, it was a nice change of pace to play something that had you take a step back and breathe for a second.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed what makes our game different.

I love the design of this. It was gentle and nice. The sound was really well implimented. It is maybe a little long for the ratings phase but I look forward to revisiting it when I can give it the time it deserves. It's great

Thanks for the kind words!

Awesome little world you created, I liked it very much. the music had the best impact on me and was really funny how the witch lady kept calling me the strange on lol. also felt for that guy wanting to confess his love...

great work.

Thanks js for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it :)

I enjoy the conversation between player and villagers. The concept is interesting and the whole vibe feels very relaxing. The environment arts and the music are beautiful. The character designs look unique and interesting too. I wish the text could be a bit more  faster. But overall it's a good game! :D

Thanks for playing and providing feedback :)

In a few words, the game is good, i like the idea but it's a lil slow but it's not a big downside since it's completely made up of small side quests. The visuals could be improved a bit since it doesn't fit with the character designs, in other words the styles are too different and they don't feel like they can exist in the same world. It's a big soup.

BUT, just for the plot twist in the date quest I'm giving it extra points.

The whole concept is good, and the Jam theme was executed very well, good job.

Developer

Do you mean that the character visual designs and other visuals in the game don't match up well? Or something else? We had some bespoke visuals (the characters, items, inventory etc) and made use of an asset pack for the environment, so they wouldn't match up perfectly. With a team of two, focus had to be placed where it made sense to place it.

Thanks for the kind words on the concept and use of the theme. I'm also glad you liked the M. Night Shyamalan moment!

As the sound designer and composer, my ego is only a little bruised that you didn't mention audio ;)

Thanks for playing and for taking the time to provide feedback!

I think that's the cutest game I've played in the jam. I love the lighthearted adventure feel, the silly characters, the cheerful atmosphere, and overall, the whole game feels really polished. Great job!

Developer

Thanks a lot! :)

I loved playing through this game.  Just exploring the village meeting all of the characters and there personalities was very wholesome.  The music and sound was a great fit for the style of game.  The only thing that I would say that needs to be added is a dialogue skip or fast forward button.  But, overall it was great! >:D

Developer

Great minds think alike: I believe this has just been added to the updated version :)

The sound design and the visuals are great, but the game feels extremely slow and barely entertaining, but I guess that is not one of my kind. The production values are extremely high and overall is pretty good, nice job :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words on production levels and aesthetics. Mood was a big focus for this one. Text speed is being sped up in our updates which should hopefully address the slow pace, but as you say, not every type of game can appeal to every type of player. Thanks for taking the time to play and provide feedback.

I loved the weird style, the UI, and the background music a LOT. I’m currently impatient because I want to check all the games, and the text speed was too slow =(. But I really enjoyed the dialogue that I’ve seen, and I’ll come back to this game when the text speed is patched because it really got me hooked!

Thanks!

Text speed should be faster in the updated version if you want to revisit the game.

Perfect, I will revisit right now to finish the story! =D

That was a nice experience :] The athmosphere is amazing and the music compliments that. I loved the character designs they look like shadows with orange eyes :D Also the jornual is a great addition the fact that you can take notes is cool too :D

My feedback would be the text speed :/ it is really slow for a dialog based game. You should implement text skipping or faster text speed. Also the camera feels a bit off whenever i stop when going down the camera goes up fastly.

Other than these i think you did an amazing job. Listening to characters stories and helping them was fun loved it  great work :D

Developer

Thanks for the kind words and the suggestions for improvement. Text speed will be made faster, it's on the list of things to fix!

I love exploring little worlds, and I think you did a great job setting up the atmosphere with this one. The dialogue and audio was a lot of fun. I even got asked out to pick mushrooms, what could be better?

The journal was a cool touch - I think you did a great job putting the whole experience together. I was really worried about what to do with my coin, eventually settling on buying some Lumber and giving it to the Witch (who sadly berated me for my choice).

If I have one thought to share it would be to please allow for faster text scrolling! I had it at the max and it was still taking a while to get through all the dialogue. I still enjoyed it because you did a great job with the dialogue, the characters and the world, but I would really appreciate being able to shuffle along the conversations a little faster.

Nonetheless, great job guys, awesome little game :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the lovely feedback! Great suggestion on setting the text speed maximum higher. It is at the current maximum due to an audio bug caused by how we originally had the sounds triggering, but we found a fix that should allow for much faster text writing. We'll put it on the list for polish week tweaks!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! You get the award for "Found (and reported) the first text bug", seems I forgot to adjust the Witch's dialogue when you give her the lumber. Suffice to say, you get an A+, whatever that is, for bringing her such exquisite firewood.

Really sweet game! The music is chilled out and fits right in. Getting to know the villagers is good fun, and I enjoyed the dialogue a lot.

Developer(+1)

Thanks Duncan. Glad you enjoyed the music and chatting to the villagers!
