A very fun game, loving the nostalgic interface. I suppose it would be very fun to min max, but I'm not awake enough to do this much of math :D
I'm liking the design a lot, shattering the illusion of a deserved effort and showing what a chore playing those games really is - rising your numbers, so you can rise your numbers even faster, completely mindlessly.
Great job!
Thanks! One of the things that I found the most interesting about this design once I started was that there is going to be an optimal set of choices... but I have no idea what it is, or even how to find it. I have the sneaking suspicion that the math needed to find it is actually fairly complicated, too.
It's not really this complicated, you just compare the bulding's cost to production ratios and pick the most favorable one.
Ah, but then the question is when do you stop buying because not spending for the production boost is more efficient, or if it's more effective to buy a cheaper, less efficient one first so you can afford the more expensive, more efficient one sooner... I dunno, maybe I'm over-complicating things in my head. This just feels like a case where the greedy solution isn't necessarily the optimal one.
Played thrice! Couldn't get past up to 5M.... I think im bad with management haha, great game tho!
I think rather than having the remaining days above, you could've used Days in Town: (curr day left) since at my first try I thought that was the remaining days and thought I've bugged it out. still had fun tho :)
Thanks! Yeah, it turns out having a static number there is actually quite confusing... which makes a lot of sense in hindsight.
My high score is $12015603
A really intersting clicker idea which becomes more of a math optimization game as you go along. Managed to get a little over 15 mil at some point. Really digging the bland interface!
Cool idea! It took me a second to understand the moving day time limit, but that could be fixed by slighty renaming "Days in Town". Good job!
Thanks! Yeah, looking at it now, I can see how that's confusing. Probably should have called it "Days Remaining" and had it count down or something.
