What I liked: Due to the teleport arrow Legless Knight requires a lot more tactic than other similar rouge likes.  You need to think about where you are going to move well before you actually move. You can't just run and gun, hope for the best and run away right when danger presents itself. Skill based movement is something that has been lacking from the rouge likes I have had a chance to play. I think it adds a lot of depth and planning.

What I would suggest: I only had two issues that i can think of; The play area felt a bit cramped and enemy's projectiles where a pain. I think if shooting gave a little knock back you could scoot around small projectiles like arrows without completely giving up your position. Different enemies could shoot large projectiles that are too wide to be dodged. Additionally you could add enemy projectiles that can be shot down before they reach you.

I think this is a cool game with very nice visuals, mechanics, animations and audio.

It still needs some polish but the quality is very impressive considering that you had only 48 hours to develop it.

I really hope to see this game updated and finished as I read in some comments.

Just wanted to give you some ideas because I think this game has the potential to be a really nice roguelike. Adding UI to see health, adjusting the game difficulty, have unique items, enemy drops and having a map the game would be so much better.

Great job guys!

Solid game -- the biggest problem I have is that it's just too damn hard for me to feel like I'm making progress. Look to Binding of Isaac for a good sense of level progression -- limit the number of difficult enemies (especially in one room) in earlier floors, and then expand in later floors. Understand this isn't something that could be done during game jam.

Solid entry; cute art; fun gameplay; want to see more.

Developer

Yea we are aware of that issues but... The time xD. Anyway, as we mentioned in the last replys, we will polish this game before Mark Brown's video with the toplist,  just in case people want to give it a try. Thank you for your feedback and thank you so much for playing! :D

Amazing concept and super well polished. The animations and art were very good. The difficult was a bit too hard at first, but it only made me replay until I got better! Congratulations!

Thank you for the feedback José! We appreciate so much your comment! :D

One of my favorite game of the jam. The idea is really clever, the art is gorgeous and the gameplay feels good.

My only complaint is the random level generation, some time I can't fin the boss door or the key, and sometime I find it one after the other right from the beginning. But that's just me being picky. :)

Developer

Oh please this isn't being picky, be appreciate all kinds of feedback and this is one of the important bugs of the game, so thank you for your feedback! :D We are glad to read this kind of comments, didn't expect this good reaction to the game. As I mentioned early, if this game gets to the shortlist we are planning to release it as a complete game in the future, we promised :D

I love the concept and the polish, and this really should be considered for the shortlist. That being said the difficulty is just too brutal. You die really fast and there's no health bar that you can keep track of. Plus, some enemies are crazy hard. All that being said, I still enjoyed what I played of it. Great job.

Developer(+1)

We hope the almighty creator of this Jam will hear you. Thank you so much for playing and rating! If this game gets to the shortlist we are planning to release it as a complete game in the future, we promised :D

Awesome! Sounds like a cool plan.

Have you tried our game, btw? It's difficult too, although in a different way.

Either way, great job here.

Great Concept, Great Execution, Great Polish. I'm very impressed by the quality of the game.

Congratulations, this is part of my favorite games of the jam !

I died a lot! Last boss got stuck in a wall and I couldn't hit him, but other than that it was great :D

Developer

Oh no, one of the 2 bugs D: Sorry for that. Thank you so much for playing and rating!! :D

Really interesting mechanic!
Good feedback on enemy hits, nice visuals.
The mechanic can be hard to understand at first, so died a lot of times in the beginning because I didn't really get it at first, but after a few tries I was flying around!

I did not like the farting noises that the character makes when teleporting, feels unnecessary childish.
I think I finished the game, I got a Game Over screen twice after defeating the one-eyed-double-shield-monster. But I assume that means Game finished :).

Overall great job!

Developer

Oh, CONGRATULATIONS! (Off the record, one of the early versions of the boss had crossbows too xD). Thank you so much for the feedback, for playing our game and for rating it! ;D

I didnt get the health system. Thats all. The game is to solid to criticise anything else. Well done

Developer

Each time you enter a room you have 3 lives, it's one of the things that we didn't have time to put in for lack of time :( . Thank you so much for comment ;D

A lot of fun to begin with but game play is dropped into so fast, and you die so quickly many of the early attempts are quick deaths with very little experimentation on how to avoid, damage, or dog enemies. Also doors can be a little finicky to hit right on the first try

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we agreed. Gameplay is dropped fast but our intention is to make the truly roguelite experience, maybe we go too far xD. Anyway, thank you so much for playing and for rating ;D
