Love the visuals and the lighting concept on this one. Flicking the light around on a controller is fun too. It is a bit confusing to figure out what to do, and after I died a few times I got stuck in the room with the statue. I couldn't get the doors to open. Either way, impressive for the 48hr jam :)

This game really caught my attention when I first scrolled through the games. I really did like the 3d monochrome effect, and the way the player has to navigate their way through dark rooms.

Nice job on this game.

awesome graphics, would've hoped for  some sound too, as without it's a bit hard to read

Man, I flipping loved the style you went for, it's so powerful!

I can kind of venture a few guesses, but what was your interpretation of the theme with this game?

here is mine. https://newkryptonite.itch.io/the-lonly

It morphed a bit, originally it was only one light source, but that morphed a tad when I built out the only 1 bit color. We did keep the only one hit to kill/die though.

That's a wonderful game, I think I saw gifs in gmtk discord channel. Swipe controls with mouse could make some problems if mouse is close to screen borders, but all the rest are great!

Developer

Yeah, I could not really figure an elegant way of dealing with it, without a controller. Thank you for giving a look

I think you could hide mouse cursor and move it to center when it is still to prevent this problem. Player would think he has a big space for mouse movement.

Great idea, the fire commands are a bit weird and it's hard to see things with this shader, but cool game overall, gj
