I like the idea, well done! One thing I think maybe could improve the clarity, is to make the grey walls always show at the end of the line. Right now the ray just stops it seems like. (It seems to be the levels borders) If you understand what i mean ;)
Yep I do. Nice idea, I’ll see how it looks in practice!
Despite what other people are saying this my personal first time of finding a game with 1 dimension and I found the concept to be extremely original. The narrator dude sounded really creepy so nice job on that. I found the game quite difficult and it took me a while to finally understand what I was supposed to do but still, nice job!
Really cool game , my favorite between the 1D games in this jam.
I loved sigillis, i love Tunnel View X)
you made really different game who are really interesting. Good job
i'll go to see your other work :)
This game right here! WOW! The fact that a 1 dimensional being has to venture and solve puzzles in 2D world is mind bending. It was hard for me to really understand what was happenning at first but when I got the jist of it, it became a mental challenge for me. Loved the voice-acting and music too! Great game!
this game entices me... am preserving this game in my collection...
all the best for the rest of the jam

OK, so after multiple attempts at trying to play this game I stuck my younger brother in front of it and told him to have a go.
He proceeded to blitz through it, having revelations about space that I couldn't: nothing on the screen made a jot of sense to me. Less that 'I can't understand the puzzle', more 'I can't understand the screen'.
When I asked him what the heck was going on, I got answers including but not limited to:
"It's just some four-dimensional time cube stuff"
"See, you're disadvantaged because you don't have aphantasia and so you're used to perceiving things you can't see"
"Oh! I get it!" (get what damn it, GET WHAT!?)
Having now been walked through how the game works by him like I was a four year-old, I now have a greater understanding of 1 dimensional perception and an insufferably smug younger sibling.
Great stuff.
He he, thanks for sharing your story!
Incredibly unique game! It was pretty difficult and i did get stuck a lot but hey, i am used to living in 3 dimensions so it was a given :D
Great job!
Simple concept, superb realisation, creepy narrator. Challangeble and fun game, with adequate difficullty curve, well done!
One of my fav, a unique take on the theme and a great design!
This idea is so cool!! It's very difficult, too. Can't really get pass level 5, but I still live the overall idea and execution :)
Oh no! This is supposed to be a tutorial level, so I'd better up my game! I've got some ideas to make it more obvious, but I can assure you that all of the levels are possible.
This game messed with my head! First few levels I was just moving randomly, but I think at the end I was starting to get the hang of it. And some of those levels were just crazy! Amazing work!
I saw your comment saying you might want to expand the game, so here's something I noticed: some of the levels, especially a few of the mirror ones, the player was just trapped in a little cramped area, so the only thing you could do was turn. This made it pretty easy to just 'stumble' into the correct answer by spinning until all the doors opened, without really knowing solving the puzzle.
Yep, I'll be opening up some of those areas, and making some multi step puzzles. I was scared that it'd be too tough, so you always started in the right place. Instead I'm going to give you more freedom to explore, and start you in a place that shows you the important details of the level, instead of starting you on the first step of the puzzle. I'll still try to ease you into it though, and I'll probably pad the game with a few more intermediate levels before throwing you into the deep end. I'd love to know what you think of this, my mind is buzzing with ideas for improvements!
Wow, super interesting! It's like looking at a 2D world through 1D lens. Working out the environment in complete "darkness" is so much fun! That's an awesome take on the 1D, completely different from what I came up with. I also really love the mirrors. Outstanding job!!
Justcamh! I always like your games! This one is very trippy and cool. Great voice acting as well~ The music fits too. While playing I was trying to figure out what were the full shapes in the darkness haha. You definitely took the theme into a unique direction! 5 stars! Please check out mine if you have time~ https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461493
Thanks for playing =)
Gosh this is one of my favorite games in this jam. My game is also a one dimensional game, but this game is still very different due to its unique mechanics. Visuals are also amazing, although it sometimes is quite confusing. Hopefully this game get’s great result! Thank you for making this game!
Best game of the Jam ive played and ive done many, how this one isnt more popular is beyond me, the mechanic is excellent and designed beautifully my only criticism might be that its desorienting and hard to handle but come on! Your obstacles changes with your sight which changes your movement which is changed by your obstacles, its a elegant gameplay loop that takes it out of the qualifier "Jam game" would love to see this game expanded!
Theme wise is "one dimension" and really runs with making the gameplay unique.
Originality, the concept of "one dimension" might not be original, but the gameplay and visuals definetly are, this game is one in a million.
Woah my dude, thanks for playing! I'm super glad you enjoyed it! I love your description of the game: 'Your obstacles changes with your sight which changes your movement which is changed by your obstacles'. I'm pretty sure I'll be quoting that ; )
Man, so many people did the 1D adventure, it was my runner up idea. you take is great! it must be very confusing for a 1d creature to have there dimension bent, I mean, the world would just suddenly end, it be like if you walked off the edge of the earth.... O.o
ANYWAY! here is mine. https://newkryptonite.itch.io/the-lonly
very clever and perfect use of the theme!
Haha that was fun. Played it till the end and made the correct choice of picking the grays.
You made the correct choice eh? Interesting... Thanks for playing!
Very challenging game, and enjoyable once the rotation mechanics are understood.
Could not pass the first doors level, but enjoyed the levels I played. I matched my colors to the doors, but my piece kept getting blocked when traveling to the door.
Again a fun game to play, with a great visual style.
Hey, thanks for playing! I can assure you though that all of the levels are possible, nothing is blocked off. I’ve gone back to that level, and I’m not really sure where you’re stuck. In one of the previous levels, the floor was grey, to teach you that you can’t move onto grey surfaces.
I’m interested in developing this game further, so I’d love to know how I could make this level easier, especially since it’s meant to be a tutorial level. Was the area too cramped? Or should I make the grey area more obvious, maybe making it dark grey instead of grey? Are the doors not big enough, or have they been poorly explained?
