Congrats on finishing the game. I liked the idea, it remind me of Reigns. However, I didn't understand what was going on many times, like sometimes the values (taxes, education...) changed without me doing so, it was confusing. With more feedback for the player it would improve a lot. Keep it up!

Very efficient game! Well done, congrats on completing the jam!

Cool idea! I think the player just needs a little more info and variables in play to make more interesting decisions. Reminds me a lot of Reigns, you should check that game out if you haven't.

I wasn't sure what was going on. I gave everyone education and they rejected me!

Congratulations on submitting, and good luck!

I have a few notes, in case you'd like to hear them.

Notes: The ambient audio is a great addition! I love the simple and effective way the people move, not all at once and not all the same amount- looks nice and lively. I also appreciated the fact that you can adjust the bars before you begin the game, without a tutorial I was able to fiddle around and see how things were being effected.

Suggestions: I was unable to understand exactly how to play the game, and so never succeeded in making a profit. Adding information on what inputs do, and what to expect your first few moves will be, would be a great help. Also, consider rounding out the numbers- perhaps the decimal values on happiness aren't strictly necessary, or any values lower than the tens place in the education bar, for example. Finally, adding a hint that you are about to lose in a non-monetary way would be helpful. I was able to guess I'd lost when I had $15 in the bank, but some other losses were more confusing.

All in all, thank you for submitting- I hope you had fun, and will keep making your games!

Really fun idea and interpretation of the theme. As you mentionned a sim game is hard to do in 2 days. I felt like the core gameplay of the game was really well done and fun, but the overall interface was to hard to read to fully appreciate it.

Hope to play your next games !

Interesting sim game. I liked finagling with the real-time sliders, but i had an awfully hard time figuring out what was going on. Maybe I'm just not smart enough :) I wish the overall presentation was a little more robust. Cool stuff, keep up the good work!

Completely agree on like every point lol. Struggled to get the balance right, since I only have so much time during a game jam when I need to do things other than minor tweaks. And couldn't find an amazing way to make things clear, since I didn't want to overload the player. Glad you still found a bit of fun with it though, thanks for the feedback! I'm thinking that maybe a sim game is just a little too hard for a singular person at my skill level for a game jam :/

Sim games are really hard to balance, and doing so solo during a 48-hour jam is no easy feat. I think you did really well with the time provided :)
