Nice submission and good execution of the "lose one control"-element. One thing is maybe the "go right not working" shouldn't come multiple times after each other, otherwse the player stands in one spot for quite a time.
Thanks for playing. Yes, it was the first thing we noted and other players noted this as well. We'll fix that next.
When I saw that this game was another that interpreted the theme as taking buttons away from the player, I was a little worried, but you made it feel a lot smoother than a lot of those other entries! It was a bit wonky at times though, as it seemed like the timer was a bit out of sync with the effects, and there were a few deaths that felt really cheap, like when I lost my right-movement mid-jump. All in all, this is a really cute submission, and had a lot of charming humor in the bugs that were left in
Thanks a lot. Yes, we wanted to make the RNG a bit better, since the current one can cause the same bug again and again. We also thought about the losing right control mid jump, and agreed that it was a little cheap. The goal was if it happens, the player has to return to the earlier platform, but perhaps it should have been something for the later stages, more than the earlier one.
The background image is super pretty, the gameplay is fluid and easy to understand
Great game! Nice job!
Thanks a lot!
Very original concept. The music was ok but not amazingly good. The art was pretty good. Especially the robot and the background. Too bad the background didn't move, although that might've been your intention. It's hard to say what you did wrong as you might've put it in the game on purpose. The portal could've been better I think. The gravity could've been a bit better so it feels more smooth to jump. And UI could've been more polished. with that being said though, there were over 15 000 sign ups and about 5000 entries. So you did better than 10 000 people already. I think the game is fun to play for a few minutes, but I don't see much potential beyond that. And that's perfectly fine for a game jam submission. Good work and fun little game!
Thanks. Yeah, we thought about making a background with parallax effect, but then ran out of time, of simply made a stationary background
I think the bugs come too often, so it’s a very frustrating experience to have to stop every 3 seconds, but the originality is very nice. I like the graphics and the story baked into it !
We wanted to make it so that the same bug won't appear twice consecutively (which would cause the bugs to appear equally fast, but one wouldn't have to stop for as long) but didn't get time to fix the RNG
