It's a nice little game! Kind of similar to Panik Atak (https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697400), but with a tornado instead of dinosaur. It ran quite poorly in my browser, but was still pretty fun to play!

This is interesting! I had trouble figuring out the controls, and it wasn't until I came to the comments that I realized I just didn't understand the mechanics. I agree a tutorial would be really helpful. Fun game once I figured it out! Nice job!

nice cute game ! I love it, we are a little limited in our movement but very polished for a game jam game, and great idea

The art is so cute cute and I love the little screams! The mechanics encourage simply jumping over everything and waiting until it recharges before moving again. It would be nice if there were more ways to move and different techniques to avoid damage.

Great game. Nice idea and good execution.

You may check mine too.

Thank you!

Woops, I didn't figure out I could jump until I came here and read the comments. The gameplay was much more interesting that playthrough >.<

This game was very well presented, the tornado's face pulled me in from the first screenshot. Nice music, level design, art, use of the theme. Just nice everything. Great job!

Developer

Sorry you had trouble! My fault for lack of a proper tutorial. I really appreciate you taking a second try on the game. Glad you enjoyed it!

Really cute concept! It would be nice if the was a simple tutorial (for the dashing), and a cooldown indication for it. A live score would be nice too! I love the visuals, love how it gets sad, and the tiny towns and backgrounds.

Developer

Agree with your suggestions. The score is visible at the bottom left of the screen, but I think there are several improvements that could be made to make scores more clear to the player. I've passed your comments about the art on to the artist! Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Ohhhhhhhh, so the goal wasn't to get -31525 points?   Why did it say I win then?

In all seriousness awesome game and a really interesting take on the "out of control" theme.   The only thing I would debate here is if you are "out of control" maybe your stuck always moving, would really add challenge to not destroying things.    That being said I have no idea how hard that actually was because my inner (and outer) evil kept targeting EVERYTHING.   Which was also very fun and relaxing, never would have know I would enjoy hitting a helicopter with a building until this.

Developer

Thanks for your suggestions, I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Interesting realisation! The controls (and jump physics) are a bit unintuitive to me, but the tiny 2-pixel people are super cute:)

Developer

I'm sorry about the trouble with the controls! Thanks for playing!

This was a super cute concept! I genuinely was compelled to keep the tornado out of danger, I didn't want them to hurt anyone, (though sadly I wasn't the best at the game).  The mechanic of using shift to jump upwards was a bit unclear at first, but it was really handy to see the little sparkle when the ability recharged! Adorable little game, good job!

Adorable tornado doesn't want to hurt anyone :3 , unique concept of trying to avoid destruction rather than cause it

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

There are a surprising number of locales for you to accidentally destroy through your tear-filled tornado eyes. Really great concept, it had a lot of humor and nuance.

Developer

Thank you! Sometimes destruction is fun too! XD

aw man the tornado was so sad ;w;;;;

love the idea!

He sure is, poor guy... Thanks for playing!

Cute tornado, didn’t realize I wasn’t supposed to destroy everything until I saw the score at the end.

Developer

Hmm, we probably should've said something about that in the game... But destroying everything can be fun too!

So cute, I don't want to make him cry :(

Smash, smash, oh.. no the tornado is sad. Must avoid making tornado sad

Developer

Smashing everything can be a lot of fun, admittedly. Thanks for playing!

Awesomely cute. I powered through the first few towns destroying everything before I read the plight of the tornado and it's lil sad face :(

Developer(+1)

We should put the story in-game somewhere, but I hope you had fun destroying everything at least! XD
