AMOEBAD is a top-down shooter where the player controls everyone. Enemies only shoot when you shoot. Enemies that can move only move when you move.

Really fun! I couldn't play the whole thing because I couldn't figure out the level with the huge guy. If you could give me a strat I could try again!
Thanks for playing! The bigger ones have a slower reload time. If you shoot, move left or right, and shoot again, you should be able to get another shot in time before they can shoot again. It helps if you're already in motion when you take your first shot.

wow that was hard. I made it to a level with haystack mazes and basically almost beat it then accidentally touched an enemy and died and I was so sad. I couldn't finish the game but I really wanted to.

what this game gets right is the one most important thing - it has a good idea, that actually got me interested in playing the game!
sure, it is not the juiciest game on the jam or the best looking one, but the gameplay works smoothly and the idea is interesting
i think this idea could really shine - especially for speedrunning - because when you play faster the game gets much harder - it is in a way like a choose your own difficulty mechanic

Thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of encouraging speedrunning. For a future update, I think I'll add a speedrun timer, and I might drop level 18.
Very interesting, I liked how it was a shooting game but had a puzzle feel. Also the pink amoeba mechanic was very cool
