Thanks for all the comments players!! Really appreciate it!

Very pretty game with lovely, soothing sounds and music. I enjoy the presentation and it feels quite good in my hands. I'm not sure where you're going with the narrative but I am very curious to find out as I would love to see this expanded into a story-important game. Mechanically, I loved how relaxing it was in the opening levels, and kinda wanted that to continue for a while longer before the challenge ramps up. I agree that level 4 is a bit harsh but I did finally beat it...  after a few dozen tries. ;-) Bravo!

Rate our game too if you like! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/696649

Really loved the atmosphere! The style and music perfectly convey it! *-*
I also liked the gameplay, however, the difficulty on the fourth level jumped up sharply. I had to sweat a little) It would be nice to slow down acceleration a bit.
The audio, as I have already noted, is very pleasant, except for the sound of a collision with an obstacle. It quickly becomes annoying. In my opinion, it should be replaced.
It was very inspiring experience! Great job!

Really fantastic looking game! And a lot of [infuriating] fun! :)

Some feedback: level 4 having the pink square in the middle, along with the sliding platforms might be a bit too harsh. But even when you get out of it, due to the blue platforms blending in with the background I couldnt tell they were there.

I would love to see this as a mobile game :)

A mix between beautiful visuals and soothing sounds and allaround moody vibes with hard and quite unforgiving gameplay. Way too tough for me, but I enjoyed few first levels :)

Cute style, nice sound. Took me a little bit to realize the ctrl input meant I went through blue objects. However, once I realized it, it was cool and it was an "Oh, now I get it" moment of learning, the blue platforms against a blue background color was a little hard to see.

I liked the take on the "out of control" prompt, of having a point for the player to forgo all control of their character and blast through things, the change of color when that happens was a nice touch too.

Thanks Koby! What a detailed feedback, it helps me realize exactly where to work on! I greatly appreciate it!

I like the style, but as other have said it is a little misleading! But I like the contrast. I guess you weren't  going for a relaxing vibe, but a meditative one instead. I had to be very precise and I'd love to try on mobile with motion controls.

Thanks phantompauer! Your comment got me more excited to develop a mobile version!

Very clean and pleasing art style and great music. Very difficult game for me, but I liked it!

Thank you DigitOwlGames! I'm glad you liked the game. It appears to be difficult for many people actually, so you're not alone!

Like what the other commenter said, it is quite anxiety-inducing for a game that's supposed to be relaxing. Think it might be the crunch sound effect upon collision. I didn't really understand what the Ctrl/C "letting go of control" meant, did the dot just move faster and have a smaller collision box?

Also it does feel like the opposite of the theme, I felt like there was a lot that I as the player had to control rather than seeing things out of my control ^^;

That aside, the music and visuals are quite relaxing, love the story too.

Thanks JemiDove! Yes, Ctrl/C is meant to move the dot faster!  It BOOM! explodes and gets out of your control (meaning you can't move it with A and D anymore), and explosion kinda feels freeing to me, but i've now realized that it may be not the case to some people! Perhaps it was less freeing than i thought since it exposes you to a bigger risk... that makes me think a lot!! Thank you so much for the good feedback :D

I thought that for a set of relaxing visuals paired with smooth controls, this caused way too much anxiety. Making sure the dot was in just the right spot was difficult and it was a solid game!

Developer

Thank you Zachary! That makes me think that perhaps it would have been better if the mechanics were a bit more freeing for players!
