Awesome game! Very clever idea and execution. I think that some way of controlling everything using the keyboard would be amazing!
Good work!
Love programming games, dealing with the possible random options works well for puzzles and the increasing speed in Error Correction's solution was great.
Super impressive jam game! The puzzles were challenging and engaging with a finely dialed difficulty curve, always teaching a new mechanic/concept. I loved the idea of having to work around some OOC inputs, especially when those started changing! Felt like I was using the same muscles as debugging. I wasn't familiar with the format, so it did take me a bit to figure out where the "nodes" were so I could enter inputs, but then I was off to the races!
Amazing game! Such a cool concept! I just think there should be more options for the commands, It would be super cool if you could control the game using the arrows and stuff like that, It would really add to the experience of that "hacker/coding" type of aesthetic.

This is a really clever little puzzle game with a nice minimalist aesthetic and a concept that I found very easy to grasp. I can see a lot of potential for puzzles with many different complex solutions and could easily be expanded upon by adding more commands and different types of obstacles. Great job!!
really fun, im not good at programming but i liked it
Making a Zachlike in a game jam is a very intimidating challenge, good job! It would be nice if there was a step button and a next level button if you beat the challenge but I'm sure that occurred to you :)
What a nice change from all of the Out of control platform games! :) Nice fun game with some really neat elements! Had me scratching my head so many times. I think you may be on to something and with a bit more of spit and polish could be a very cool game especially on the mobile. Good luck!
Very clever fun puzzle game
Awesome! Great presentation and gameplay!
Definitely one of my favorites! I loved it
This is a super neat idea, and well executed too! I have played a lot of game similar to this before, even ones with forced commands along the way, but I have never seen the permutation system in any other game before. This made the puzzles way more interesting and really forced me to think about every single possibility. A lot of the solutions were really elegant, although I think I might have cheesed a few levels based on the simplicity of my code. The visual style and audio work really well together too. I could honestly see this doing well as a full game if you ever decide to build on it and add more levels. Really well done, especially in such a short time frame!
Love the concept, really like the simple, uncluttered art style, and these puzzles are really racking my brain man. Great job!
Side note, I like the little error messages if you try to override the red keys. Cool easter egg!
I love zachtronics games and this a is a great zach-like. Very compelling to force the idea of needing to use the loop in the solutions. It seems like the wrinkle of having fixed inputs really lead to some awesome puzzle creation.
Great! The coolness of the idea really hit me at Error Correction. I love how loose, chaotic, weird, abstract the solutions to these are. In particular I think this does a great job of using a minimal language without resulting in oversimplified puzzles.
A fast forward button would have been nice!
BACKDOOR was my favourite, and definitely a UX nightmare. I do a lot of programming, so... a lot of programming games are trivial and borderline tedious. I was biting my nails through the whole 8 sequences of BACKDOOR, even once I thought I had it figured out. This might be terrible for some people but for me it was a really cool experience. Also, I can put processes inside processes? They feel so powerful. I could go on but I'll stop. Great game.
Thank you.
I agree, a fast-forward button would help a lot. As well as being able to choose which permutation to test.
You don't really get to use it, but processes can call other processes and it should handle recursion. In theory anyway!
It's a fun puzzle! It's interesting having to find a solution based on the constraints we have no control over.
This is absolutely perfect! I thought about doing a puzzle with out of control as theme but couldnt think about how to make that playable. Youve managed to do that perfectly, and not only that, with simple puzzle mechanics that you understand straight away. Only quirk is that on the multi sequence levels, landing multiple times on the same green pad counts as doing the right thing. I somehow got past this one level like that, though my code was really nonsense.
Hehe, I'm not sure if it's perfect but thank you for your kind words!
I love these kinds of puzzle games! The aesthetics are actually surprisingly appealing and i think it compliments the gameplay.
This is not the game for me to be playing after my brain has been rendered to moosh from the Game Jam! I'll definitely revisit it after some sleep. Anyway, I made a similar pre-programming type game for my submission, too, but your presentation takes the cake! Fine job!
