A towering masterpiece. I'm in awe. The progress bar is a nice touch ;)

Thanks for giving it another shot. It seems like some playdates can play it and others can't?  It's very strange but, to be honest, you aren't missing much 🙃

Should be fixed now, thanks!

That's what I'm saying! C++ and a graphics library is definitely a jam on hard mode. If you revisit this (and you should!) I'd look into a gpu based solution like a stencil buffer. Either way, lovely game

How did you possibly have time to make this? The incredible opening cutscene, the sheer number of objects and intractables, the appeal of the animation... bravo.

I can say with no hyperbole this is the best game in the jam I've played so far. Super clever, very fun, reminds me of some of the best flash games back in the day. Outstanding.

Really cool! Lovely music, it looks lie a custom engine which is always very impressive. I bet trying to fix that jitter was really annoying :p

I'm glad I finally found someone else who put voice over in their game :p

Very cool concept!

Awww thanks <3

I like the dynamic music aspect a lot. It was confusing that you could fall through solid platforms if you pressed the a key too early, it took me a while to figure that out.

Cute concept, death noise made me smile.

It took me a while (and checking the comments) to figure out the controls. Nice music and art.

Very fun. Also infuriating. Good job!

Outstanding presentation! The audio crackled a little for me but I think that's an emulator issue. Mad props for making a game for retro hardware <3

The CRT aesthetic is great. And obviously God talks with an Australian accent!

Very calming for a game about fattening up and sacrificing yourself to an elder god. A+

Very clever! TIL I am not good at pathfinding (that's why I make computers do it).

(1 edit)

Lol I'm sorry. Sometimes things gotta end you know? Thanks a lot for playing <3

Very clever! We love to gamify QA testing.

Nice! Ambitious!

I also felt that maintaining spatial awareness was challenging. Maybe a mini map would be something to look into?

Also, rar files are annoying on Windows I'd stick with zip ;)

I haven't used GM2 but I found this tutorial for you:

It's a little late now but good luck for next time!

There is so much character and charm on display!

Brilliant. Shame about the audio bug but wonderful concept well executed.

You published the .yyp file, not a native executable. You should be able to export your game to different operating systems from the GameMaker editor.

It froze up for me, I had to alt-f4 out :(
I like what I did manage to play though!

As someone who is *terrible* at scrabble this game is super satisfying. Chill, delightful, clever.

Sorry about that I don't have a way of testing mac builds. Was it just because it's an unsigned executable or something else?

Stressful! Bleak!

Nice! Mind bending! Trippy!

Fun! Reminds me of the guild of dungeoneering. I managed to softlock it (:

Top notch idea and execution! It is a little hard to tell if the player will jump but that's part of the challenge I suppose.

A delightful arcade adventure.

Very nice, and great choice of engine! I hope you keep working on it <3

Tricky! Nice vibes. Additional visual feedback when taking/dealing damage would help with the feel I think.

Enemies are very bullet spongy, the re rolling stats mechanic is a little hard to understand. Aesthetic and music is on point.

Yeah, unbelievably lazy devs. Do they even listen to their community?
