I really enjoyed your game, found a few bugs like you can still move after death, the character felt a little buggy at times but the control aspect all though not 100% clear was working well from what I could tell. Maybe more of a visual queue could help rather than just the mouse marker moving around. The game definitely felt tough in places! Took me a few tries to get the towers to capture properly. It's super fun, some things could make the blaster feel a bit more satisfying like screen shake and some more particle effects on the blaster, it also seems a little unclear when the turrets need to be shooting me, but shoot the big guy instead even when having a clean line of fire to me. Another small bug not sure if this is intentional but the walls around you can shake sometime when shooting could be something to push into if it is intentional. I think some more visual queues and maybe an easier start could definitely help you here. Something that allows the player to understand more of what is going on more than the visual pop ups give at the moment but this is just my comments, but really fun other than these points! Best of luck with the jam! :D

Clever take on the concept to explore the relationship between control of yourself and the enemy

I enjoy the theme and concept.   I had some very large issues with targeting a specific enemy who I just could not kill.   It seemed to be a collision error but it was hard for me to tell from the way it was happening.

Really enjoyed the game played both versions to make sure. I also found that sometimes I couldn't tell if I was damaging the enemies so I initially resorted to running right passed enemies instead. Love the skybox tho and the space-like theme

The "second one is invincible" reminds me a bit of R-Type and the invincible option you get to accompany you in that series. Certainly an interesting, but quite tough idea!

I did get to the ETA 2154. I am not quite sure how things worked, though. Some enemies (especially the upper left one in the first room) seems to register hits only rarely, and it seems as if I could get the control boost by simply shooting an enemy while it was in front of a reflector.

I did resort to that to beat it - I wasn't able to line up the shots well enough. I think a little work should be put into the player shots and having them last a bit longer, so you can do proper trick shots :) Still, nice work!

Thanks for the great feedback.

The update shows the health bar above the boss instead of blocked by size. A lot of health on him. But still easy to beat. I changed this so he will only chase the player.

Also the bounces are weak so I am changing this to be very bouncy similar to pool.

Just needed more time to balance everything.

Thanks again

Boost

Win the game??  Just defeat the "boss"  patrolling somewhere in the building.

Keep your control boosted.

You shoot and enemies cannot.

You move and enemies can't move.

However this loses your control over them.

Lose all control or all your health and lose the game.

Control your invincible partner for a boost.

Boost Control by destroying enemies.

Boost Control by bouncing shots off post that connect.

***Major Glitch. Try to play without pushing the walls. They are movable but not by design****

Alternate download with fix

Cool idea and ui design. Can't figure out how to achieve the goal, and is that a bug going through walls?

Developer

Yeah Bug Yuk. Thanks for trying :)

Just kill the "boss" - Just bigger different color and stronger.

Updating description. Thanks again

I have trouble understanding what is happening, maybe a camera is broken somhow ?
I see the player character two times.

Developer(+1)

You move and control both at same time but the second bigger one is invincible.

Hooo I didn't realized

I'll try the game again then
