Loved the music! It may have cost me an arm and a leg, but at least I got the job. The steering was very satisfying. Nice work :)!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah we had a very talented musician!!! Congratulations on getting the job :)

getting a very weird glitch where the second the unity logo appear the screen perpetually zooms in till there is nothing but blackness. any suggestions?

Developer

Sorry you are having issues. What operating system and browser are you using?

Someone mentioned this happened before but they tried to load it again and it worked.

Windows and chrome, and I have reloaded many times with problems. It looks so fun though!!!

Developer

So strange. I am running the same setup. Can you try a different browser? If not I will try and do a windows build for you.

This my favorite so far! Good graphics (for 48h at least), fun music and fun mechanics.

The intro text was funny but got tiring fast when I just wanted to play the game. Also, while using Unity's low quality mode as a mechanic was really clever, I feel like it was not a downgrade considering my computer was struggling with the FPS a little (I use a weak-ish laptop).

The descriptions of the "upgrades" don't quite fit well what they actually do, but the effects themselves are very well fitting and I love what they do in the game. "Vertical Orientation" makes me crazy.

Developer

Thanks play playing!

We never considered that the low res mode with actually make it run faster so that's good to know. Unfortunately when developing on a high end machine it's hard to test performance especially in a games jam.

The idea for the descriptions was just to give you a hint on what the 'upgrade' would be. It was just another layer in the 'out of control' theme. I find flip screen, low res, black and white, auto turn left / right and broken accelerator all layered together utterly impossible to play.

Love the controls and visuals! I didn't get to test the 'upgrades' unfortunately, as the game completely broke after the first level. Refreshing doesn't work - even the unity logo appears to move forwards before it disappears, and the menu screen is nowhere to be seen. I'll rate this properly if I can get it to work again.

Sorry you are having issues. What platform and browser are you using?

I'm on Windows, using Chrome. I've never really seen a bug like this before where even the Unity intro screen is bugged. I'll try to see if I can fix it later.

Developer

Yeah that's strange.... haven't heard of this before. Let me know if it won't work and I will do a windows build

My favorite use of the concept so far.

Developer

Thanks we really tried hard to match the theme this year!

This was a fantastic game! I would have liked another course--but I guess that just means I wanted more! :D

Developer

We liked the concept of having to go down the same course with different 'upgrades' but I do think the single course is a bit boring in the later days. If we expanded for different paths and maybe secrets I think it would have been much better. Thanks for playing

Fun hovercraft mechanic that gets 'upgraded' on repeated plays. The course stays the same, but you see it through a different lens each time. Lots of replayability. A few bugs (the start button wasn't responding after a playthrough for me) but that was fixed with a re-load of the game.

Interesting how the core loop makes you choose what way you downgrade your craft, from vague descriptions that only hint at how you'll be affected. Upside down mode is brutal!

Fits the theme well too!

Developer

Sorry we will fix any bugs after the jam has finished!

This game is amazing! Super fun, adherent to theme, shows you the blood-sucking nature inherent in a capitalist system... It has it all!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing it! Glad you liked it
