Yeah, other years I over scoped but this one decided to keep it small but allow me to create levels to expand it. Worked out much better and meant I could polish it all before actually making the game. I didn't even know what the game was until Sunday. Just had a cool mechanic of driving, picking stuff up, and launching it. Thanks for the comments though :)
Thanks play playing!
We never considered that the low res mode with actually make it run faster so that's good to know. Unfortunately when developing on a high end machine it's hard to test performance especially in a games jam.
The idea for the descriptions was just to give you a hint on what the 'upgrade' would be. It was just another layer in the 'out of control' theme. I find flip screen, low res, black and white, auto turn left / right and broken accelerator all layered together utterly impossible to play.
This game is really frustrating but in a fun way! I finally managed to complete all levels but many cars lost their lives in the process. Really unique idea and fully fits out of control. Pretty sure I started throwing cars in the sea out of anger
With a few tweaks to make it clear what was being held with the magnet and tweaking some of the physics I would definitely play it more!
