Maximum controll reached, you lost? I thought that was the win condition? oh well, funny idea :P does need some more playerfeedback, but really fun, would like more interaction with the party. If you wish to develop post jam I'd recommend options to recruit other party members with stats, classes and personality traits. so that you might have different types of conflicts between them depending on their ideologies.

Overall, very fun ^^ if you do continue with it I'd love to hear more about it :D

Hello Landerack, I just published a new version, where the Wining Screen issue is fixed. There are also some new features that you can check out in the project description. I probably won't have time to work on the game this week, but I plan to add a basic inventory system for potions and more diverse classes in the next few weeks.

real fun, the difficulty feels harder, not in a bad way though. The win triggered on 40 instead of 50.  Not sure if this is intended? and the party randomizes, pretty fun, but I wish I knew more about them as characters, perhaps when they do individual actions or take damage add some flashy effects per thing. with like -30 hp that like fades away from the portrait. or "STEAL!" when the rogue steals from the party. It's also a little hard to understand what exactly certain party members do. But good job, I really like the feeling of the new version :D

This concept has potential! I’d love to see where this will go with some more development post-jam.

Also, for future reference, pack the .exe and .pck together in a single Zip file. It would make the installation a little less tedious.

Thank you for your comment. I like the idea of bundling the .exe and .pck file and I will definitely do that for the next version.

We are currently still working on improving the game whenever we find some time. There is a new version with rebalanced encounters, a lot of bugfixes and some new features like random party generation. I will upload it as soon as the rating period is over.

I like the concept and the dialogue lines (especially the "stealthlyly" one!) It seems though the game is dependent on luck? I wasn't sure if there was a way to tell what rooms may contain what. Really liked the theme!

Developer

Thank you for your comment! In it's current state the game involves a lot of luck but you can preview the contents of a room by hovering your mouse over it before you move into the room (though there seemed to be a bug in this version that only shows the preview on the first run).

Currently we are working on the balancing on the game and adding new types of encounters. We also want the classes to be more specialized in certain fields. I will upload an updated version when the rating period is over.
