Thank you so much for taking your time  to play my game and for the feedback :)

I found it difficult to grab on to the objects. I tried many times but failed to reach the end. It's a great idea though, it has potential. I loved the music. It gave it a spooky theme and reminded me of 'Alan Wake'. I would love to see some psychological backstory as to why the name is 'Everything is Fine'.  *thumbs up*

Thank you for your feedback im happy that you liked it, as for the shooting i think i may have overdone it with how often it can trigger the dysfunction of the rope, and yea i should have tweak it more  but the deadline was imminent, i named it everything is fine because initially it was about a schizophrenic trying to balance his mental state though by moving  through the stages, but i ended up not saying that in the description and change it that you are a torment angel to fit more on that current stage, but i think if i will end up developing the game to the end i think i will go for the schizophrenic approach to fit better the name of the game :) hmmmm i think i will chance the description hehe no angels here, Thank you for taking your time to play the game and commenting

Oh I see, yes a schizophrenic person out of control seems very fitting for the theme. Nice idea! :D

Maybe it could use some more player feedback to whether or not the cable attaches or not, but otherwise I enjoyed it! I thought the art style and music made it this really surreal kind of environment which could be fun to explore some more. Nicely done!

Unfortunately i was not able to do any user testing on this game that i acknowledge as a mistake , but the plan was to pud a gun  with a  green and red  light  to indicate whatever is working or not or even blinking color before  detaching but as a solo project with the need to make the art and the coding  i was fast ruining out of time and to be honest at some point i think my brain just stooped corroborating lol , Thank you so much for playing my game and the feedback that is for me one of the most important aspects of the jam :)

As a fellow solo developer, who also made his own art, I can definitely relate to what you're saying. This was my first time doing a 48-hour game jam and the time pressure is real! Still, you made something special and you can be proud of that.

This was my first game jam to, sure it sure a rush but the filling that you are creating <3

I couldn't figure out what to do, so watched the video. It's like an unreliable Windlands, without a second rope! Which doesn't really seem like an improvement on the core idea!

I'd have appreciated a look-invert option too.

Developer

Thank you so much for the replay, i really didn't have time to make anything else  once this is a solo project and the assets had to be made etc , and there i agree there is no improvement on the core idea , as this is my first  game jam the next one i will be more focus and hopefully with more sufficiency, thank you so much for taking the time to play and feedback my game :)

Just finishing and submitting is a great achievement for your first games jam!

Mechanic like in a game A Story About My Uncle. Like it, but control is hard and a point not always attaching to white points.

Developer (1 edit)

Basically every time you shoot there are some factors if the hook will get attached or not and when and if it let go on its own, i have noticed it that some times it doesn't attaching on the white points but i was not able to determent if i was bad on aiming or it was the "out of control factor "that was to be blame, and yea i agree movement needs tweaking, Thank you so much on your feedback and for trying my game  <3

Thank you too for your try. Hope to see you again next jam!

Interesting mechanics. Spooky atmosphere. Needs a pursuer. Keep working on this one!
