How does your game fit the theme?
Out of control can mean running out of control (just like how out of apples means no apples left) So in this game, control(input) is a limited resource, and you gather input gems to get more control or input.

This game is amazingly made. There are several ways to just fall short of the stairs in each level, and I think that's brilliant. I'm absolutely amazed at how they managed to make all those levels in just 48 hours, with each level being made so thoroughly.

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!

This game is particularly exceptional. It helps stimulate our brains into constructing the most efficient method towards the completion of the game. Moreover, it has a stunning graphic design like none other.

Thanks for playing!

Amazingly polished, and interesting puzzles. Not smart enough to finish it tho. A minor suggestion: maybe the linked portals could have matching colours, so that the player would know which portal is connected to which.

Great suggestion! Thanks for playing

Very well polished game. A little bit simple/generic idea. But I like the addition of the rotation/swap buttons which were a good addition to turn limited puzzles.

Awesome! Thanks for playing!

Simple, yet effectif, it also has nice art! But the portals kinda tuned the fun a bit down for me, too many too fast.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it!

This game is worthwhile playing, the concept is great. It has one of the best presentations around, especially the visuals. Need I say more it is very well polished. It's very fun and I totally recommend it.

Looks amazing and plays great. Thought it was a great concept however I did not enjoy the portals! Especially the first couple of levels they were introduced as I felt it was more of a guessing game than anything. Great work though!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! True, the portals were a common complaint. Some have suggested color coding them too. I guess we could do that in a post-jam update (:

There's a lot to like here. Specifically how well polished it is! Very well done there! I like the steady introduction of new mechanics, and the extra little things you did to give different pieces of the game juice. Rotating portals, character squishes on moves, the buttons your press pulse, cleanliness of the art style.

The only two things that tripped me up were:

  1. I like the idea of changing up the tiles (they're not all perfect squares, some have cracks), and maybe this is just me, but I was weary of those tiles at first, thinking they'd fall out from under me.
  2. I struggled with the controls in regards to the portals. It was very easy for me to go through a portal, pop out, and move a space, all in, what felt like, one button press.

Other than that, great job!

Thanks for playing! I agree, the portals need a bit more polish.

While I feel this game is not very unique or inventive, it is definitely a great presentation of a puzzle game. I think one of the levels may be impossible, I was not able to finish the game.

Developer(+2)

Is it impossible, or have you not figured it out yet? Just kidding. Thanks for playing and giving feedback!

I really like this! Its very well polished and its a good balance of a strategy game and interpretation of the theme.
