Nice fun platformer with a little bit of an annoying camera which made it hard to see different parts of the level (especially looking up was hard because the camera clipped into the geometry).
It would be nice to have the camera a bit further from the player too as the level is so big.

Other than the camera it was a fun time.

Thanks for the feedback! We agree, the camera was pretty janky haha. Thanks for play our entry!

Can't believe we both used Windows XP and a hacking theme in our game :D. That's amazing! Loved the opening intro! The character design is super cute as well. Really nice job!

Great minds think alike ;) Thanks for checking out our game!

Great game! That intro animation was super juicy. Love the art and character design, and the little wiggle your character does when it falls over!

Some minor things that you guys could look into for next time:

  • The camera can clip through the wall if you move too close to it. Cinemachine has a thing that fixes this, and it could easily solve the camera distance issue that arya-s brought up (you can make the camera come closer to the player as you loop upwards)
  • It's easy to fall off of the moving platforms since they don't carry you with them when they move side to side. You could check if the player is on the platform, and add force to the player to match the platform's velocity
  • Displaying some text when the game is paused would be helpful - I waited around for a few seconds during the opening cutscene after pressing start to try and advance some dialog. But that was more of me just being stupid lol

Very into this one, y'all did great~

Thanks for the feedback Request! Glad you loved the intro cut scene and the overall aesthetic of the game!

Thanks for the feedback, we actually did notice 1 or 2 of those you mentioned literally before the deadline and were bummed we couldn't apply fixes in time. We're looking to maybe work on this a bit more post GamJam so we'll take your feedback with us.

Thanks so much!

I really like the intro but I didn't read carefully enough and thought it was broken because I tried to move with my keyboard.

The character is nicely designed and cute. The jumps feel a bit too floaty and maybe the camera is a bit too close to BitBoy - at least I constantly wiggle my camera around and trying not to fall off. This does have its charm btw so I wouldn't change it just it's tricky.

Good stuff!

Thanks for the feedback, we'll take that into consideration for next time! Really appreciate you taking the time to play our game!

Just a heads up guys, we found a game breaking bug on the level where the floor is made of platforms, the jump pad isn't working. Sorry :(
