very fun! lag between standing on a key and picking it up is a bit annoying

Wow, that's quite an amazing game !

One thought though: WASD+Mouse+Potentially any keyboard key sometimes proves to be tedious!

Also, where is the shotgun?

Developer

Hi, thank you for your comment!

The tediousness of this control scheme is somewhat intended. Not sure if we can change something there without losing the original idea of the game ;D.

You can switch to your other weapon using either the mouse wheel or the keys 1 & 2 on your keyboard. We forgot to mention that in the game itself.

Really nice, though I'd prefer more key drops around the world instead of only the enemy dropping. And limiting enemies and not spawn in front of you would be great too. Fresh concept, nice!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

The spawn mechanic of both enemies and keys both surely need refinement. But more keys just dropping in the world is a good idea!

Great idea and nice assets. I did find it hard to read what keys were in my gun with all the postprocessing effects.

Absolutely love the concept.   Also really enjoyed the design.   I admit though my skill with mouse aim, keyboard movement and random key shooting did not get me very far ;)   Great Work!

Love the concept, and the gameplay is well polished.

Can get really fun but needs to be played for a bit longer to learn to play, for example, the shotgun was showing shift and it wasn't working I did not know which shift it was left or right, also I would spawn fewer enemies to wait for a player to get hang of the controls. and well that's it. otherwise pretty good experience!

Great to hear you had fun! :D

Onboarding is surely something we haven't handled well. The shotgun is a bit tricky, there are different keys for left/right shift, but it is true that it is not displayed very well. Enemy spawning was something we still wanted to improve, but then the time was nearly over, so it is sadly not ideal. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Really enjoyed this idea.  I found the presentation and the polish awesome, but while actually playing was very hard to see some of the letters (especially w/the post processing FX - there was a glare or something on the letters).  If they glowed, or were just larger, that might be easier.  It was never clear how to make the shotgun work.

The oncoming bad guys were really chilling in their "Sorceror's Apprentice" relentlessness, but I'm thinking that's a plus. :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! :D

Yes, maybe we overdid it a bit with the post processing effects... While the size of the keys is hard to change (as they have to fit on the gun), putting the gun closer to the screen could work. And glowing characters or keys would have been a really good idea! Thanks for the great feedback!
