Thanks to everyone who tried and reviewed the game!

I made the game last minute (on the last day) to try my first year at GMTK Jam... at the same time of already in the process of another Jam that was for 2 weeks. The 2 week Jam was for the small game engine I use. If you see this, I would love your feedback to the game I list below. The game is called Escape the Rewind, and I'll probably add it in itch.io after voting is done with it. Thank you & Have a great day!

I played the game and as a fellow Flowlab user, I'm just curious-- I noticed an option to toggle full screen in the top right corner. I have wanted to implement this in my game but I couldn't find the trigger that did so-- basically, how did you add full screen into your game?

Developer

It's a newer behavior that was added last month.

You may need an indie account to use the new behavior.

Oh ok! Thank you!

I really liked it when the message "What now?" Appeared on the screen. hahaah the credits also appeared during the gameplay was interesting. Pretty cool, I didn't play anything like that, in this jam.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

Really like the way you make the player discover the map. Nice mechanic you have here :) Well done!

Developer

Thanks! I was hoping Adjustments and Discovery would make the game "Out of Control".

It's a nice puzzle mechanic. Although a bit tricky and I was pleased there we're only a few levels. :)

Developer

Thank you, I wish I had more time for developing the levels and more content.

I like the idea of slowly learning the map as you play. Good job!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Totally loved it....bit tricky.....🙌

Developer

Thanks! ✌

Looks cool, but a bit hard to play since you can't see where you're going. It seems to rely really heavily on luck.

Thanks for the feedback, I was going for Replay and Discovery

Nice entry, I would like to see a faster transition after dying.

My only wish is that there was more levels but under the time crunch it is of course understandable! The red arrow was a great touch. Wonderful job

Developer

Yeah, I would've like to add more levels and content. Maybe next year I wont Juggle between 2 Jams 😅

I don't have much to say about this game. The concept is nice, I like how I have to learn the map as I go, but it just sort of feels like a guessing game on where I need to point and click. I'm not really sure if this game fits the theme of the jam either. I guess once I let go of the ball, it's out of my control and I just have to see where it goes, but I'm in control of where I toss it every time, so it's just a matter of trial and error.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The game was made last minute, even for this Jam's Stander. I was having the same feeling as I was finishing up the last 30 minutes, I should've added more than just the discovery and replayability I was going for.

Pretty neat game especially with the bounce mechanic. It is a bit annoying that you don't see the entire map at first and you have to die in order to find out where to go. But over all pretty good.

Developer

Thanks, it was a quick attempt for the "Out of Control" theme. Glad you like the game!
