Really cool puzzle game ! the dynamic aspect to it keeps you on your toes ! Great game, keep it up !

Developer

Thank you, glad you liked it c:

It's fun when you plan a route that works

Sometimes the player is stuck in the same rotation, and walking endlessly in the void

Sometimes the ghost clips through the wall

It is a nice challenge

The art and audio are all really good

Developer

Thanks for the positive feedback :)

And yeah, we encountered the bug too where he walks into the void, that's a really big one sadly :/

I love that the game makes heavy use of real-time actions. For example, the angled wall needs to be placed to deflect the ghost and be moved again the reorient Somni. This adds depth to the original puzzle solving aspect of the game.

I also love that the objects can both help you and hinder you. Like the light, which is useful to despawning ghosts, but will also trigger a fail when the player passes through it. Instead of keeping the light on, the player need to time the switch to despawn the ghost when it is on, and turn it off before the player passes through. I think this increase the diversity of how the levels can be, and it is a good idea.

Just a little nit-pick, portals can be placed out of bounds. The level shown in the thumbnail actually becomes easier by using this glitch, because you can direct the ghost away to the void.

Anyways, good concept! Good luck!

Developer

I'm really glad that you like the concept that much :)

And while we know of quite a lot of bugs and problems, we actually never thought of the fact that you can just basically delete the ghost like that, thanks for pointing that out!

The idea is cool. You have to think carefully before placing anything or you get screwed up pretty quickly.

There are a coule of issues though. A way to restart the level manually would be nice. Also it's kinda hard to see where you're gonna place an object, some kind of preview (like half-transparent silhouette) would help. Sometimes Somni would get through a wall or fall of a bridge even though it seems to be placed correctly. Overall, these don't affect gameplay too much but may cause frustration sometimes.

Developer

Thanks for the constructive feedback! Manual restart of levels is definitely a good idea, the other aspects are perfectly good too, but since we still struggle a lot with Unity, it was really hard (and ultimately unsuccessful) to keep the game bugfree.

Loved your game too by the way :)

Once I figured out how to place the bridge it was a lot of fun! Great job making a deep puzzle game in such a short amount of time!
