Fine idea! As some said, yeah, the game could be a bit faster (and I find the drain instakill a bit too much xD) but very good presentation and choice of music!

This art was amazing! I love how it looks like wood block carvings/litho prints, that really sells the aesthetic. It was (understandably) hard to control, but that didn't take away from the arcadey feel of it. Even once I died, I felt like maybe on my next play through I could actually get that first piece of broccoli. Good work! It was a nice game to play.
That's awesome! Power-ups would be really cool, or if you progressively lost more and more control as you drank more beer. I'm sure ya'll know the design best, though, so best of luck to you in that endeavor! :) We've been talking about trying to expand our game from the jam, too. There's only so much you can actually achieve in 48 hours.

Glad to know that those wood block carvings are serving it's purpose. Arcadey feel is something we were striking for, good to know that we managed to get it right. We are definitely going to fine tune the game even more in coming days.
PS: You are supposed to avoid Broccoli as it is good food but it will be bad for Sumo since he is in druken state. It is going to make him sober

As you already said, there is some issue with the pacing. It's a pity that you didn't have more time to fix it! Anyway really good job!
HAHA The art in this is amazing. Animation and UI is great. I think the other comments can testify to that better.
Gameplay-wise, at first I thought "okay it's slow right now and it'll get faster soon" but overtime, the speed didn't change too much and the overall pacing felt slower. Maybe there's something around 200 score since I only made it to 100 but it took around 5 mins to get to 100 so I'm not as motivated to keep trying
This was fun though. The dash saved me a few times and allowed to make quick jukes towards the collectibles.

Aye, good to hear that you loved the overall visual aesthetics of the game. Our artist spend some good time in making those look interesting and unique in itself.
Yes, gameplay-wise things are off right now as our other team member mentioned but we will be refining and fine-tuning the game in coming days.
Oh, that's rad. Good to know that you had fun and that dash saved you multiple times, which means dash is serving it's purpose. Fun fact: We added sideways dash in last 20-30 minutes including animations.

Nice animations, but I think the player should just fall in the manhole rather than getting hurt by it and manhole cover should not inflict any damage, just the open manhole. (Also things were passing under the manhole, seems like there was a problem with Z order of the sprites). I like the gameplay but it is a bit slow.

Yes, actually now that you have mentioned it, that is what we are going to do with manhole now. At first we didn't really think of making him fall in the manhole but that is an interesting idea. And sharp point on manhole cover too. Will be fixing that. Yes, there is some issues with Z order of the sprites which we didn't get time to fine-tune but no worries, we are going to refine it in coming days.
