Fantastic game - liked the controls - I found the enemies hide in the floor (darker tiles) - maybe give them an outline just so you can see them - Overall good job

I enjoyed the game, I personally found it hard to recognise where I was allowed to walk because of the art, although top-down is a hard style to create. The concept is great and I liked how crazy it got at the end although I agree the difficulty curve is the wrong way round in that it gets too easy at the end. You could really build off of this idea though as it has a lot of potential, great job!

Cool game idea, I really enjoyed playing it. Nice controls and I like the level up system. Two problems though.

Small problem : I think the character art is backward.

Big problem : the game becomes easier the more characters you have. By the end you can just stay still and spam click, and you gain enough xp to regenerate characters faster than they die. Possibly make the amount of XP required higher based on the amount of characters you currently have, or make the enemies harder to kill.

Hi! I'm one of the developers of the game and made the pixel art for the characters.

None of the art seems to be backwards. The character shooting missiles was supposed to be a ninja/rogue/assassin kind of character, it's holding two daggers backwards. The main character is a wizard/mage/sorcerer, the thing that could look backwards about him is the cape.

I agree with you that the game is too easy at the end. We made much of the actual progression last minute.

We simply didn't have time to polish the art to make it more obvious what it represents, test the game, etc.  There was actually supposed to be animations as well, I have made them, we just didn't have time to add them. We might continue development, so you could check this out in 2 months or something like that and see if it has changed, if you want.

(The game was made for the GMTK game jam and that's why we were short on time, in case you found this from somewhere else)

That makes sense. Now that you explain the art I can see what it is clearly.
