Art and animations are very cute! I like the mechanic although I also had a bit of problems, like other people in the comments mentioned, but I'd love to play a perfected version of this if you ever got to make it! Nice job!

Developer

Thanks

Good art. I appreciate the unique concept as well. I get Yoshi vibes from this.

Thanks alot

The concept is super cool and the jumping animation is sooooo cute! Unfortunately I wast able to play it really, cause I was always stuch at the begining in the place where the crystal is placed. However, I see the potential in this concept :)

Developer

Thanks

I really enjoyed the game concept here and I like the character but this was a bit hard to execute, overall good entry and again very nice concept, keep it up! ^_^

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words, Louis! We didn't have time to polish it, but we're glad that you enjoyed it!

Thanks OwO

I don't know why, but this game may have the best title of the jam.

As for the game itself, I generally agree with the others, great animations and mechanics. But the breaking itself feels hard to do properly and consistently.

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Oh... you're very kind! Thank you for your words. <3

Developer

Thanks :)

Very nice mechanics with a lot of potential. The animation work and art are also lovely. Congrats :)

Developer

Wow thanks :)

Developer

Thank you! We're so happy that you liked it. <3

The art is so cute and I liked the idea. I would love to se a more polished version :)
Congratulations on the entry!

I also loved your game, congrats and thanks. In the middle of saturday I lost the game files, so I had to start programming from scratch, it was my fault, the art guys are amazing.

Submitted

Aw that's a bummer :(
But hey, it's a marathon, that kind of stuff happens. And you still managed to make the game, and it is fun! :)

Developer

Thanks :)

I'm really sad it's so bugged, the concept was great! Everytime I fall I lose pieces but the bird doesn't get smaller and the level auto restarts, this makes it unplayable :(
I gave you 5/5 for originality

Developer

Oh, I think you dont get the mechanic, you need to glide the right amount and fall the right amount to solve the puzzles, hold space to glide

Submitted

Thanks for clarifying but I think I understood the mechanic (and the gliding thing), but it seems a bit bugged (I tried falling from different heights and gliding before ragequitting)

Developer(+1)

Oh ok, its not much about the height, is about the velocity of your fall, so you really need to stop gliding in the last seconds of your fall, sorry for you bad experience.

Submitted

Don't worry it's not a bad experience, our game has a few problems too, you can't provide perfection in a 48h game jam

Developer(+1)

Thanks, your game is really fun!

Quite a unique concept! Playing it was pretty confusing however. The controls weren't explained, so it took me a while to figure out the mouse was needed, and I still don't quite understand the logic behind when a fall kills instead of just making you smaller. I do really love the animations though, so much charm in those.

Developer

Thank you for your comment! :) We didn't have too much time to polish, but you're totally right on your feedback. Thank you for that! <3

Developer

The logic uses the speed you are falling, and by that decides the damage. I think that was a wrong decision, and yeah I got no time to really explain the controls, but they are at the itch.io page. Sorry about that.

i LOVED the kiwi struggling in the air animation! Great job on the art, aesthetic, and vibe. I thought the break mechanic and kiwi theme were very original

I found it challenging to gauge which heights would do which amount of damage to me, but that might just be because I didn't understand that I needed to "join" to heal

Developer

Hahhaah it's so cool, right!? The art team nailed it!

Yeah, I do agree it's confusing, we couldn't polish it in time. But thank you for your feedback. <3

Developer

Yeah it was my fault, I am programmer and at the middle of the jam I had to restart the game because the file got corrupted, sorry :P

Developer

Oh and the fall is not really about the height, is about the speed you fall, I tried to go to a more realist thing, using gravity and stuff like that, I think that was the wrong decision.

Submitted

That makes sense, I think it was a good decision

With practice I think players will get comfortable with controlling speed using the slow fall mechanic. With a couple tweaks it would work well. A button to respawn at the beginning of the level, normal deaths respawn you to where you died from (so you can do many tried quickly without getting frustrated), and a visual indicator of your speed (number on GUI?) to help you learn to controliit

You all did a great job especially considering the corruption issues a 48 hour jam can throw at you

Developer(+1)

With R you restart the level, thanks for the feedback :)
