I really like the concept of this game, it reminds me of a game I made for LD once, but with a lot more focus on the tower defense. It started very well but it did get a bit boring later on as you can just build as many towers as possible and farm for more, I was expecting the tumbleweeds to get tougher somehow...
As one tidbit, the Flee button didn't work for me. I did like it very much, still.
Glad you liked! Both the tumbleweed scaling not getting any harder and the flee button not working from the pause menu are on my list of known bugs, I'll roll out a patch for them sometime this week.
The game is quite fun. With the coins disappearing quickly it adds a sense of risk and reward. I would have like to see you expand on the tether concept more. Maybe by having towers become more powerful if you are close to them. The tethers added more depth that made the game interesting even though tower defense games aren't my forte. Overall a fun game. Good job!
This was fun and I see a lot of potential in this concept. The player and turrets sharing power adds a nice layer of depth to the game play. When tumbleweeds drop coins they disappear quickly enough to where I feel I must urgently get it. I like that this makes things more tense. Swell job !
Sometimes the music is a little too chill, as it got pretty hectic later on, but over all i'd say it's a well made little tower defence game.
That's a good point! I had intended to have some layers of the music be more dynamic, but that was on the list of stretch objectives that didn't get reached. Post-jam, might give that another look.
This was very fun and interesting, it was sort of like that other tower defense bullet hell game from lest gmtk game jam, but this time it's more about resource management for two values, and you need to be near one of the towers or the core thing in order for battery, this is pretty well crafted! Also I got to 1091 seconds.
Thanks! Yeah, there was definitely a touch of inspiration from that game in this - myself and Slashnburn looked through some of the previous GMTK Jams the night before, and I know that one came up. Glad you liked it!
