The narration and music are both absolute gems. That tune is going to be stuck in my head now.
Thank youuuuuuuu :D
An interesting puzzle game based on the combination of clothes.
You even added voices to the game! Though I warn you though, it might be a good idea to add text-based tutorials or subtitles as not everyone can natively hear English and immediately understand them.
I wonder if there are different ways to get the clothes and solve the puzzle, instead of doing it one way to solve the puzzles though? Usually those are one that addresses the difficulty of puzzle games.
I had fun playing the games, it has potential actually. Might think of how to continue the game development beyond the jam :D
Thank you for your detailed reply :D
Always happy to give feedback :>
We were aware of the unfortunate inaccessibility to the game but with the time limit, we were just glad to have something finished.
(I personally thought the values of the different clothes were different enough to distinguish them even with some colour perception issues... until I saw the game on another screen.)
Hi niilo!
The concept is so strange! Aliens eating people to mate with each other. I never would've thought of something like that in a million years!
Excellent music and artwork, the voiceover really helped to keep me engaged. Nice work!
Best,
Brandon from TheIndieDream
This is a neat puzzler, I definitely haven't seen anything else in the jam like this.
Great work on the music/voice over - really added to the feel of the game.
Great music and compellingly weird theme. Also, excellent voice acting. Overall gives me Michael Brough vibes. Nice work!
Wonderfully creative mechanic and story, adored the music and voicelines, and it was quite difficult! Amazing work!
Thank you!
I enjoyed this entry a lot. great job guys, I dig the concept very much (could easily be a corny Star Trek episode haha), the music is amazing, and some hilarious narration is a cherry on top. puzzles are challenging but not too challenging, you can beat every single one after only a couple of tries.
and the finale is just :D
Thank you!
I guess this is my first game jam entry where i did not go way over the top with scope, but remained rather grounded thanks to my teammates, and look and behold: we actually did kinda finish it :D Glad you liked it!
Loved it. Honestly found the overall level of challenge quite good (love that last level :D), and great writing and voice-acting. Very cohesive whole.
Thank you!
That last level you only get to see if you do not use the skip button :D
I like the artstyle and the music of this game, but the levels are too hard... or maybe I'm just too dumb :P
Thank you!
If we were to ever expand on the game beyond gamejam level, the designing of levels and the resulting difficulty curve is definitly the biggest point to adress.
Well done =)...
Thank you!
Btw, I was having some issues launching, not sure if that was a windows being weird thing, the final thing that worked was dragging the exe into the cmd.exe and hitting enter, then it launched just fine.
Just in case anyone else hits that issue =)...
Ooooh I think I found a game with the idea as us xD
Pretty neat design, that we always need to calculate every step.
Thank you!
I hopped over there and had a look, and it is not the exact same mechanic, they are pretty darn similar: You "stack" we "loop" the parts, and you respawn the absorbed target, we do not. Neat!
A nice exchange indeed!
Extremely unique, that was great! Good voice lines, good voice choice. Puzzle part was simple but fun. My favorite was the song!
Thank you!
I too am a fan of all the music and voice writing and voice choice Niilo came up with and threw at me to integrate in game. It just brings it all together so nicely.
Interesting idea. I found the stages too hard off-the-bat, so I skipped a few. Thank you for adding that in.
The music and voice over were very pleasant to listen to.
When you do use the skip button, you do not get to see the "final secret level" that doesn't even have a puzzle, but you still see basically everything the game has to offer. Thanks for the feedback and kind words.
Interesting puzzle concept! Love the spin on the "joined together" theme.
Thank you!
A+ pun for the title, too!
That one was true team work as well :D
Very nice game with good puzzles, and nice art. The standout for me though was the voice acting. Great job to Joshua! He also was working with a good script to so excellent job on the writing!
Thank you!
Niilo somehow got a contact to the voiceactor and wrote the lines. My (already melted programmer) mind was just as euqally blown when it all came together last minute.
A really original concept with fun puzzles and an amazing soundtrack and voiceline accompaniment! Nice work!
Thank you!
It feels weird, it's my first game jam game that actually feels somewhat... finished. All the positive reactions to it really just overwhelm me, so thank you again!
Really cool concept and interesting puzzles! loved the voice acting and the humor :)
Thank you!
Niilo did the writing and contacted the voice actor (however how he managed to do that is beyond me).
really enjoyed this one, I liked the body horror and the narration was a nice touch, good music as well. puzzles felt about right for a gam jam game.
Thank you!
We actually have assets of a severed arm, leg and head within the game files, but couldn't decide on time where to try and include those, too. Might be too much or too comical.
Niilo did the level design, but as far as i observed it it is somewhat tricky to aim for a certain diffculty, so i am glad they turned out as they did.
This was pretty puzzling( might be because I am dUmB). The music was pretty good. Overal great.
Thank you, I made the soundtrack for it, a little creepy lovesong from one shapeshifter to another <3
Thank you!
There is certainly a strategy to solving the puzzles, but the difficulty is indeed all over the place.
The colors could be better chosen, but other than that, it was really fun playing it.
Well done! :D
Thank you!
We didn't really have an artist when we started, and it happen to fall into Treiskaidekas hands. Those color choices where the very first draft as she learned pixelart along the way, so they could have indeed have been a little more refined, but i guess that's something for a potential after-jam-update.
