Really creative concept although I had trouble snapping the blocks to the grid as the blocks would not sync to the mouse making it hard to put the block where I wanted it. But great idea!
This is a really good concept!
Concept is really cool. Building system and snake's obstacle detection were on point. Some grid snapping feature for the blocks would help this game a lot.

Interesting idea, however the placement of pieces is very janky. Dragging only works if you are on the piece, not the box, as you drag the piece desyncs from your mouse's position, sometimes it will just refuse to place the piece even if you aren't blocking the path to the fruit or anything, in general there is a lot to fix there. UI is barebones and there is very little in terms of feedback.
As a base concept though there is definitely something there, it would be nice to see it revisited in the future.
Thanks for your opinion. I will fix them in the future. The piece will be rejected if you place it too close to the snake or if it blocks the path between the snake and the food. I will add them to the description.
I realized you couldn't block the path or place on top of the snake, but occasionally I couldn't place pieces even when those conditions weren't met.
Maybe because you put it near the snake. The radius around the snake is 2 cells. Or it could be a setting error in the game. I will review and correct in the future. Thank you very much.
Cool idea. Some rough edges (placing the pieces was finicky, and the poison fruit didn't seem to actually work), but it's a decent base that I could see building up into a solid game.

Great job finishing the jam! This is nicely done for being so new to Unity - and thank you for including a web version! If you work on a post-jam version, I might suggest preventing the snake from looping back on itself, since that isn't allowed in most versions of Snake. I really like your take on the theme, and the ability to place level geometry in real time is definitely a fun and interesting mechanic. Good stuff all around!

I genuinely had a lot of fun with that! The placement of the blocks in the WebGL version was a bit funky but It was fun!
