Definitely needed some kind of explanation of the controls either in the game or in the description, but once I figured out it works similar to Angry Birds, it became a lot more fun than I was expecting!

I'd also like to add that the platforms don't really work too well with the physics, I'd suggest increasing the friction on the ground and adding some kind of direction indicator while the player is charging a jump.

Overall, there's a very solid foundation here that could be turned into something really impressive with a bit more time. Great work!

THANKS ! I really appreciate this concept too, I would love to perfect it one day : )

Good work on the prototype.

The controls are confusing, took me a while to learn how to control the player.

Developer

my fault... maybe I should have put a tutorial

Strangely addictive this one, Getting Over It vibes for sure! Cool idea!

Developer

thanks !

It's pretty tough due to the size of the steps. ITs easy to launch up, bounce off a higher step and go back some. Nice idea though

Developer

thanks you !

The game was fun at first, but my hand quickly grew tired, and then I started getting dizzy at the part where the game shifts to a new area because it kept going and forth. The physics are really satisfying and cool, but unfortunately having to pull mouse back quickly for a jump gets really tiring to do a lot of times. I like how the game thematically makes sense with Sisyphus, but I don't really see how it fits role reversal very much. Lots of great potential in the game though, very nice work!

Developer

Thanks a lot ! where the game justifies its theme is when we see that the pixelated thing we control is not sisyphus but his stone! (yes, it's weird, I know...)

I can't really tell what I'm supposed to do. The movement system makes sense, but the goal is unclear. I spent a while trying to jump onto the rock on the right of spawn --no luck. Then tried jumping the pit on the left -- I either get stuck on a platform on the left wall and lose the ability to move, or fall into the pit and respawn.

Could be a really fun movement game as the physics actually work in a very satisfying way. I would love to retry if there is something I'm missing, so please let me know!

Developer

hi, first of all thank you for playing my game! then, the difficulty of the first level makes sense to me, as sisyphus has to push his stone several times, you have to find a way to ride the physics of the game (hint: you can throw the rock on all the platforms (walls, floor, ceiling... you just have to create the right direction), with the right timing... for the collision bugs, I had the possibility to erase them but I had no more time...(I will surely fix it later) so here is the magic word to use IF it happens to you: "press R" I hope I was able to answer your questions, thank you very much for giving your time to my rage game 😊

We had similar ideas!

The idea of turning this myth into a movement type game is pretty good actually.

That's too cool to be true !
