Very nice art style and take on the theme. The game play might need some tweaking, I killed the dude in one hit. The battle arena with the dragon in the background was very well done.

Thank you very much! The artists will receive your praise. :)

Yeah, next time I think I can code a dynamic AI for a sword fighting game in 48h, I'll stop myself. :D

I really like the game ambiance and the gamplay is intresting, well done !

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!

This game has so much charm! I found the concept to be really intuitive to pick up, I wish there was more levels! Amazing work :)

Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Although the graphics and concept are excellent, the opponent should have been more dynamic.

Developer

Duly noted. Thank you for playing!

The game didnt launch on my pc :(

Developer

Oh damn, what's the error message? We haven't experienced any crashes while play testing. Sorry for the inconvenience. :(

Submitted

I dunno what happened, I downloaded the game again to give you the error message and now it did launch, i think it was something with the engine. It was a fun play, and it was challenging to try and win without using the spam exploit. Very good!

Submitted

I opened it again and it gave me the error. Here it is

Developer

Well Google says this means something is wrong with DirectX. So you could either try to 1) reinstall DirectX or 2) update your GPU driver or maybe even 3) check for Windows updates. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let me know if any of that works for you.

Its most certainly my gpu, that intel hd graphics is pretty old lol

This game made the unpredictable game of rock-paper-scissors predictable. :P
Tactics: bait the opponent by picking a choice (who pick the counter of it every time), get close then immediately switch to the one left to it (which will counter the counter).
Repeat. Win

Developer

Yep, that's pretty much the winning strategy. We figured it out during play testing as well, but there wasn't enough time to add more complexity to the AI.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to figure that out?

Submitted

hmm, noticed the enemy switching pattern 30 seconds in, then how it reacts to mine in about 40.

Developer

Yeah, ok that's definitely too early to stumble across a winning tactic. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, I also found the spam hack ;) I liked the general art style! Everything comes well together : music, visuals and gameplay. Would have been nice to have a little more gameplay but as it was simple, I found myself playing a few games in a row

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll pass the praise to the artists. :)

Agreed, if this was to be a longer game, the mechanics would need to be reworked. Right now it only works as a ~5min jam experience.

Cool game! Doesn't fit the theme too well but at least it has some kind of role reversal!
Found a exploit where you can just spam attack once you hit the prince once :D

Developer(+1)

Well depends how you look at the theme. In this game I think it fits in two way: one you're playing as the princess and not the prince and two you're constantly switching the attacker/defender roles.

Yeah, the AI is rough around the edges, not gonna lie. Thanks a lot for playing. :)

Hmm, true, I didn't consider the fact that you play as the princess, so I suppose that's right! Adjusted my rating :)

Developer

Aw, thanks a lot! :)
