Neat entry! I like how much momentum you can gain, and how you bounce off the walls. The game looks great too. I managed to catch the thief, but unfortunately couldn't figure out how to actually crush them. Well done on this overall!

Nice work! Don't look like a first time on Unity at all.

Love the concept, and is actually fun in its actual form (I made my own game in my head were I race the explorer)

This is a great idea for a game, and making a game sounds like a great way to bond with your siblings. Sorry to hear you all got sick, hopefully you can continue development for this after the jam!

That's a neat interpretation of the theme! The movement feels great and the art is STUNNING. Great job!

What a great idea for a game! Very fun, the art was pretty, but it lagged a little bit on browser. Still, I'm very interested to see how you develop this idea further!

I was surprised by how fluid the boulder physics were! I could really feel the weight of it. I also saw your comment about making the game with your siblings and was endeared. I hope you guys keep making games together! I wish I could have squashed that thief though!

The artistic style of the game is very very cool! The idea of the game is very interesting, good luck with your development!!

Thank you! ^^

Really lovely art! This has potential, I definitely think zooming out the camera and maybe taking inspiration from Sonic style levels would be a great place to start improving things.

Also, having the boulder actually roll around would really sell the game feel (you can do this in Unity by decoupling the sprite renderer from the player GameObject, and putting it as a child of the GameObject, so you can handle animation without it affecting your movement)!

Hope you folks get well soon if you're still recovering - nice entry!

Thank you!!
I agree with all your points, some of those things we either didn't know how to do or sadly didn't make the cut for early build as we began to realize our Minimal Viable Product needed to be far more minimal. :p
Thank you for the tip on how to make it roll, that was something we couldn't quite figure out and the advice is very much appreciated.
Originally the idea was to have the Boulder able to smash through the blocks and/or navigate some hazards as it chases after the npc, we're excited to try and fully flesh out this idea. :D
Your well wishes are also much appreciated, thank you very much!

The art is really cute in this! Seems like a fun idea. Eventually the boulder and adventurer both wound up trapped in the same area and I was unable to do anything. But the look of the game is really nice. Keep at it!

Developer

Thank you very much!
And yes, sadly the time ran out before we were able to implement the win/lose conditions.  :p
