50 % OFF TOOTHPASTE?!?! THATS A STEAL!
now seriously, very cool concept, i liked the minimal style it really lends nicely to the simple gameplay aproach. and kept me playing for a bit to reach a higher score.
Good stuff!
if you wana try out my brother's game you can try it here! https://aviv-youker-harel.itch.io/scales-of-olympus
It's got a good concept but it's way too simple at the moment. If you're careful you can stack buildings pretty much exactly on top of each other and the game lasts a long time. It could use more complexity, like how others mentioned weirder shaped buildings (and a wider base). I'd also suggest more stats for the player to try and manage? Like happiness for the citizens of the tower, or something.
I do love the scratchy scribbly art style, it definitely fits the cartoony tone of the game even if that's not really intentional
Liked the art style! Bit bigger foundation and weirder building shapes would add some more challenge/other options than just stacking buildings on top of each other
Thank you so much! I plan to add some really oddly shaped buildings later on.
I like the simple style, it is really cohesive. Gameplay needs more of a monkey wrench though, weirder shaped buildings or something.
I only went with this art style because I was too lazy to create actual art, but turns out people like it, thanks!
Cool game! The simple exponential growth followed by the toppling tower was perfect for a relaxing playthrough. My feedback would be to make the buildings more differentiated in how they function, and maybe add in some kind of time aspect since later on you can just repeat placing an apartment and an office over and over. I was also a little bummed that the toppling of the tower didn't happen until really late into the game and once it started I could really only delay the inevitable, so some way to stabilize the tower would be great. But for a jam submission it was perfect! Great job!
Absolutely loved this little game! Simple yet catchy. Very nice concept! <3
