I really liked the polish in the game, the swivel of the character when moving, the chill music to jam out with, and the buzzing electric line when building. One minor gripe I had was how it seems your block pieces randomise each time you return to checkpoint which is good and bad in that it forces you to take a different approach each restart. Overall cool game!

Very nice idea! I liked this game way more than I anticipated. Placing the blocks was intuitive and fun and I think it's a really nice mechanic and felt very engaging. One thing that surprised me though and I would be interested to know - when resetting to a checkpoint or restarting the level the order of the available blocks changed. From my intuition I would've expected every level to have a fixed order of blocks. Was this an intentional decision?

Contrary to previous comments I felt the player control was perfectly fine :) Great job! Congrats!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the mechanics, I spent a long time trying to make it feel good to play while still giving some challenge. The order of the blocks was random, which was an intentional decision for better or for worse haha

I like the idea and it was fun to play! Same thoughts as Charlie, player felt a bit off. Also the order that the blocks showed up was a bit weird but it adds to the challenge. Either way congratz on making it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah random blocks was a way I could cut corners on level design. If I had much more time I could have designed each level around a set block pattern but was crunched for time as it was

Was really fun to mess around with all that blocks! Thank you for creating this

Fun game. The mechanics are pretty interesting although the player controls feel a bit weird sometimes

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah it controls a little wonky. I left it like that because I thought it added some character to the little ball guy, but it definitely made it harder than it would have been otherwise.
