Really enjoyed the game! Loved scaling up the army of beans as the game went on, and there's something very satisfying about commanding and overwhelming force to mob a group of green beans.

The defensive blockade is a nice touch! I think the tileset could be more fun/playful/colorful (but that's just my personal taste), bc beans are kinda playful! I also loved controlling the army and it was smooth and intuitive!

Absolutely incredible. I didn't think I'd have this much fun with this game, to be honest. And I especially didn't think I'd get a little attached to beans, but you made it happen somehow.

Cute graphics and great concept (very Pikmin). I would have liked some music though.

I also had some trouble understanding which beans were nice and which weren't. It seems that only the green ones are bad? Perhaps making them something other than beans would have been helpful to help one distinguish between friend and foe. Also, I'm not sure if the red or blue beans did anything meaningfully different? My red one just died immediately.

I'm also not really sure what the shield is supposed to do? As far as I can tell, the beans don't fight when it's up, and just get decimated instead, so there was no situation in which sending them to attack wasn't the best solution; maybe I'm misunderstanding the mechanic?

Though, the biggest boss in this game was stairs and little corners. A pathfinding algorithm would have made the ascent a bit smoother.

Thanks for the feedback and also for taking the time to play. Most of what you found weird is 100% understandable and correct,   driven by running out of time and not being able to fix broken mechanics and also get a published build out haha.

Yes you are right the green beans are bad, with the dark green beans specifically preferring to target the player over your wrangled mini beans. The red and blue beans are also slightly faster than normal beans (would have liked to add more if we had more time).  Shield used-to push away enemy beans but it broke when we rewrote the enemies ai script last minute and didn't have time to fix (repeated issue haha).

Pathfinding would be awesome, none of us knew how to do it so we settled for straight line seeking, but we will definitely think about adding that once the game jam is over and we can publish a new rev.

Thanks again for playing!
