As some reviewers alrealy pointed out, not being clear how to progress was confusing, Even after I got all the rules I ran into softlock problems like trapping the wizard inside the castle therefore not getting any more stones, perhaps with an edit system that lets you remove the block giving you back (or not) the stone can help. Anyway it's a jam, things like this can happen. Cool artstyle btw!

How does your game fit the theme?
It is a game about building and scaling a tower

I´m afraid I don´t get it, which is a pitty, because I love the vibe, the coor palette, pixel graphics and the theme. Is has that nostalgic mystique. The not getting it part kinda fits that, too :) But even after finding your comment about the controls I couldn´t manage to place a block...
Thanks for the feedback, I totally agree that a lot of the mechanics are not well explained well. I just run out of time for a level of polish I would be happy with. I think I failed to scope the game to the time limit and underestimated the role that player feedback plays in making a game fun and intuitive.
All the best in the Jam.
I could use some more explanation as to how the building works.
I could place a couple of the stairs/ledge items but then nothing else would place down, no matter which block I tried or where I tried to place it.
Thank you for the feedback.
Every time you nock the wizard off the tower greater than 1 tile he should drop a stone, these stones are required to build the tower. Unfortunately I ran out of time to implement an indicator for when a tiles can be placed or how much stone you have. (Such is a game jam).
Wooden stairs and platforms can be placed anywhere a background appears and do not require any resources to place.
Nice take on the jam theme! Loved the colors and art style. Congrats!
