Not bad. I think my biggest take away is that the game would strongly benefit from audio cues. In particular, it would be great to have a sound effect when the reload is complete. As is, the lack of player feedback makes the delay between pressing the button and the actual reloading feel arbitrary. Sometimes I wondered if I even hit the right button, given that there was no immediate reaction to my input.

The game is pretty challenging and hard and I really like how the boss is different in some way every level! But I think the game definetly could have used some sound effects.

thanks for the kind words I’ll be adding sound and other improvements as soon as the rating ends

The idea of repeatedly fighting a random permutation of the same boss is very appealing. You learn the boss’s movement and attack patterns, and so to some extent your experience is transferrable, but you still have to learn and adapt! Conceptually, it’s inventive, and your boss design is just as creative – I love how you can anticipate its movement patterns based on the placement of its jets.

The visual feedback for hitting the boss is crystal clear, and this could be enhanced further with some juicy sound effects across the board. I also find that the reloading mechanic is just a timed task – in lieu of simply unlimited bullets, maybe the player slows down to reload, so you have to pick your window carefully? Either way, nice work!

Fun shooter that served me nostalgic vibes!

sorry about the first question I thought it was  how do you feel about the theme

the game fits the theme because every level is randomly harder when it comes to boss health or bullet shooters in the level
