This game is so cool! Using spacial awareness is tricky, and it creates awesome puzzles! Well done!
The art is gorgeous during gameplay and I really liked the music. The die having sides that do not equal 7 made things really hard since the isometric view had me guessing what could be on the sides I'm not looking at. It's cool that there seems to be multiple paths to finish levels, though the time is pretty short. Some of the side mechanics I did not see much impact, like the speed up on the 5.
The tutorial was a bit hard to read until I hovered the mouse over it, it looks like it the chunk of text was treated as a button, after clicking a clearer background appeared.
I feel like the time limit makes it really tough. It’s a good puzzle game. I don’t do too well with time limits
Yeah a lot of people felt that way. I think we added it because it was an easy way to extend the play time without making more levels. If we add to it after the jam is done the time will be optional.
my god this was beautiful, i honestly was just chilling with the whole experience, but they you brought in some pretty hard puzzles and i loved it even more. great work. I think if you chose to expand upon this a retry button would be a good idea, but regardless really lovely. I also have to say the color palette you chose plus the music made for an ideal experience.
Maybe I'm biased, but having also made a puzzle based on the same movement mechanic, I found it so cool to see the direction you went with it! Goes without saying that the levels were really compelling, but maybe an undo and/or reset button would let the player explore and enjoy them more fully? I think I felt too focused on not messing up/running out of time that I couldn't fully appreciate the care you'd put into them.
Oh, and I for one thought the irregular die was a nice touch; made me think *that* bit more!
I like how the dice mechanics work, but isn’t the dice numbers wrong? Good Job on the game though
Interesting mechanics with dice. Quite difficult levels.
Great game! Very similar to my idea :)
great minds think alike! 😉
There are a lot of games in the jam with this dice movement mechanic, but I found this one the most enjoyable out of all of them I have played. You're given ample time and space to figure out the strategies to get the face you want, and the progression felt natural,. It felt like there were always multiple ways to solve the level, which I appreciated.
My only wish is that the die was the standard 6 sided die, with 1 and 6 opposite, 2 and 5, and 3 and 4. It would have made it a bit easier to judge what I needed to be on before moving.
Thanks for playing!
Yeah I just found a random free die model and our artist retextured it. I didn't realize until later when people started playing it that the sides were wrong.
Interesting puzzles with a decent progression.
Great game! I really enjoyed the music and sound effects. It makes for a very relaxing puzzle experience.
